  1. Ok..But did you try to verify integrity of OA game cache files and load up OA using Steam as I suggested?
  2. Did you read Dwarden's post ARMA 2: CO (how to combine ARMA 2 into ARMA 2:OA and use together)? Basically what this post says: DL the runA2CO.zip file and put the cmd into the same folder where the OA .exe is located. Then, in Steam go to the game library, right-click on the ArmA2 game (given that your ArmA2 also is a steam version, if not just do if for OA) and choose Properties -> Local files -> Verify integrity of game cache. Afterwards do the same for OA in the Steam game library. When this is done for both games, launch first ArmA2 and secondly OA using the "Play" buttons in Steam. Then, try to launch the game using "Launch ArmA2: Combined Operations" from the Steam OA Play option OR if this doesn't work, try to run the game by double-clicking the runA2CO.cmd from within the OA folder. Try it out and see if it helps..
  3. Tried that, both without and with -mod= in the string and got an error message. Tried to point to the arma 2 folder using the "browse" function on the External modfolder tab. I selected the top arma 2 folder trying to activate that "ca" option for arma 2 and got a mod string like this (with the beta build): S:\Programmer\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion Again I get an error msg when launching the game. The error msg I get in both cases is this one: (But my directories for A2 and OA are the ones as stated in that msg) When I do launch the game ignoring the error clicking "Yes" I am however able to see all the 5 islands for A2 and OA when I go into the editor so I guess the two games are combined. Still - when I use the solution as I show in my post above, I don't get any error so that's the one I'll use. :)
  4. What part of it didn't work for you with Yoma Addon Sync? Been using that solution like I describe in the post I link to for 1 month and haven't encountered any problems yet.. @RomeoSierra: You're a quick learner finding out that there are differences to Steam/Retail version install of OA :D Nice of you to point others to my posts. Just happy if I can help someone out. Cheers. ;)
  5. Hi DayGlow, I am not familiar with the ArmA II Launcher, personally I use Yoma Addon Sync and you you can read how to set it up with/without addons, mods and/or beta builds here: Solution to run Combined Ops through Yoma for Steam users
  6. Hi Slides, Setting up Steam to launch Combined Ops. can be a bit tricky but it's actually very simple. Unlike when having a retail version, Steam versions of ArmA2 and/or Arrowhead put the A2 and OA content in two different folders - and not in one as when you have the retail versions of the games. The fix for combining A2 and OA through Steam is actually quite easy. Take a look a my post here, Slides. It's about the similar question that you have. Good luck. :)
  7. Hi Lexen, Did you guys read Dwarden's post ARMA 2: CO (how to combine ARMA 2 into ARMA 2:OA and use together)? Basically what this post says: DL the runA2CO.zip file and put the cmd into the same folder where the OA .exe is located. Then, in Steam go to the game library, right-click on the ArmA2 game and choose Properties -> Local files -> Verify integrity of game cache. If you are using mods/addons on the server in your gaming group and use Yoma addon sync., I can also show you the link to my post where I tell Steam users how to run Steam versions of A2:OA Combined Ops. through Yoma. Some Steam users in my group (including me) have been using this solution with Yoma for 1 month now and it works like a charm. It's not easy making Combined Ops. working through Steam without doing some sort of tweaking at this point, I guess. But just like any other Steam user, I'm also patiently waiting for the release of THE easy and perfect solution on how to run Combined Ops. without any hazzle. Good luck getting the game running, hope my words here can help you guys out.
  8. Hi all, This is just a post to help the ones who have A2 and OA off Steam and wish to launch it via YAS - with or without mods, addons or the OA beta build. Several members in my group (including me) have been using this solution for 1 month now and it has worked like a charm so far. Read my post Solution to run Combined Ops through Yoma for Steam users A big thanks to Yoma for this great addon sync. tool.
  9. Yes - both executables for Arma2 and OA should be in the same folder after the installation of OA, so point OA to your C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 directory when asked for install location of OA. In that way you get Arma2 and OA content in the same folder and not in 2 separate folders.
  10. When installing OA you should point it to the directory where you have Arma2 installed so all A2+OA content goes into one folder. When this is done, use the OA .exe (and not a CO .exe as I said before, sorry :o) to launch the game and it should be running as a combined game. Happy gaming, RomeoSierra. :)
  11. I know you're feeling frustrated, Nitemare, but in order to be able to help you, please explain your problems or what you've done trying to make it work - preferably in lower case letters. :) Yes, I do have Arma2 and Op. Arrowhead off Steam. Yes, I can make it work with launching addons, either by editing the .cmd file or launching the game through Yoma Addon Sync. But selecting addons from within the game only works for me when I run plain OA - which I never do. In Combined Ops mode I'm also not able to select/deselect any addons ingame - that's why you'll have to adjust the .cmd file or use some some of game launcher to suit your needs addons wise. If/when there's going to be another solution for combining A2 and OA I can't say. Guess I'm still waiting for that answer like every other Steam user so hang on in there.. If both your games are retail versions, you will have to go and get the lastest 1.52 patch for OA on arma2.com, also even if you have an OA Sprocket version. This patch will also update your original Arma 2 1.05 to 1.07 if necessary. Steam users automatically DL the lastest official patches through Steam. If you have Arma2 and OA in the same folder, you should have a CombinedOps .exe in your Arma2 folder, click that to launch the game, go to the Editor and if you see all the 5 islands from Arma2 (Utes+Chernarus) and OA (Takistan etc.) your game is running in combined mode. ;)
  12. It's not really a new issue, it has been answered like 50 times already in this thread. ;) Try to take a look at your _runA2CO.cmd file inside your OA folder and MJK-Ranger's post here :)
  13. Roger that and no problem. :) Too bad it's still not working for you though. Did you try to take a look at Dwarden's first post in this thread? Good luck.
  14. All right Ringo, we get your point but no need to shout it out loud ;) First, I would suggest that you manually delete your @cba,@cba_oa and @ace folders and install the files again (make sure you put the new A.C.E. files and CBA + CBA_OA in your Op. Arrowhead folder). Next, go to the _runA2CO.cmd file inside your Arrowhead folder, make a copy of it and rename the copied .cmd file to i.e. _runA2CO_ACE.cmd, then right-click on the batch file and choose "Edit". Look for these lines at the end of the batch file: :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" and change them to: :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca;@cba;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_SM" Try to launch your game using the _runA2CO_ACE.cmd and see if it works - it does for me. :)
  15. Did you read the first post in this thread and follow the instructions? Also you can edit the _runA2CO.cmd file to contain the mods/addons you want to run. Just open the batch file and edit the line where it says: :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" to i.e.: :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca;@mymod1;@mymod2;@mymod3" Also remember that the mods/addons you want to run are placed in your Operation Arrowhead folder and not inside your ArmA2 folder..
  16. Users who have ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead off STEAM in 2 different folders and would like to launch Combined Operations through the Yoma Addon Sync tool should try to take a look at this thread

  18. I took a copy of the _runA2CO.cmd and renamed it to _runA2CO_sthud.cmd. Then I edited it like this: :run "%_ARMA2OAPATH%\ARMA2OA.exe" "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;%_ARMA2OAPATH%\EXPANSION;ca;%_ARMA2PATH%\@CBA;%_ARMA2PATH%\@sthud" %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 ENDLOCAL In this way it will load your addons from your ArmA2 folder so you don't have to copy/paste the addons into the OA folder. There may be other ways of doing do it, but this works for me anyway launching A2CO using this _sthud batch file. :)
  19. No. When you have the retail versions of A2 and OA, OA will automatically install itself into you A2 folder. I know someone who has a box version of A2 and DL'ed OA digitally off Sprocket. OA installed itself just fine in the A2 folder and works like it should. ;)
  20. Started up the game using this launch option but I'm still not able to select ArmA2 under Expansion ingame, can't see the addons that I DL'ed for OA or see the ArmA2 servers in the multiplayer lobby. :j: I have bought both A2 and OA off Steam and I'm running Win7 x64

Just updated ACE2 to v.352 and the problem with loading the body into the LB is still there. When I wrote my post earlier I was running the previous version of ACE2. I've tried both to drag and carry the poor dead body all the way around the LB, standing close and 2 steps away from the chopper, still no "Load" option for me :/
