    Just thought id'e give you a teaser of my latest texturing project. Bmp-3 model by Gurdy Textures Vasmkd ;)

    This one took me a while due to a combination of lack of free time and alot of normals work needed for it but here it is awaiting next release.

    It comes in 4 variants: early, late, M and M with addon armour. EDIT: not ERA

Some textures of Russian vehicles have broken pixels (red, yellow or grey pixels), I reported this some time ago in this thread, before the bug tracker was launched: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?184842-RHS-Escalation-(AFRF-and-USAF)-Release-0-3-6-(UPDATED)&p=2860241&viewfull=1#post2860241

    For example, check out BMPs (BMDs) 1-2, Urals and Tigrs. This happens then you edit dds texture which was already compressed. To avoid this you should always work with uncompressed *.bmp or *.psd originals and save them as dds only once (they will loose some quality still, but not that much). Any editing of dds texture directly will lead to such errors. Most of such errors only occurs on vehicles, which you imported from A2.

    I updated the tigr a few weeks back, will be in next version with a smoother look but still in 2k.

    The problem is nothing to do with DDS or compression. Tigr is saved straight from a psd then tga. The uv layout was actually the problem as the parts are a little on the small side and on single sheet. To give it a higher res look it needs to be 4k which may run heavy on slower spec pc owners. We try to keep 4k textures out.

    The BMD 1 and 2's are the same as they have always been, we don't have the hull psd's and that is not my work except the turret on bmd1 which was remade a long time ago which is why it was textured again many moons ago. I had a few months texturing experience then ;) I can make anything to atleast the level of bmd4's, 2s3 etc etc but I have more important vehicles/weapons to texture/model atm and that list always gets new editions.

    Now we can look forward to 0.4 with many new things to come ;)

    For some people it is easier to download two packages than one big one. AFRF can also be used standalone. And if you already have AFRF and suddenly want to add USAF you dont need to redownload whole escalation. In the readme it clearely states that AFRF is required: http://www.rhsmods.org/mods/usf3#readme

  4. Is there a compiled list somewhere of content that you intend to add in the future? :) More specifically I'd like to see the BTR-90.

    Not really as most of us prefer to surprise people and maybe show stuff only that's most likely to be in near releases. As we do this for free and can have real life issues at times and we don't pressure anyone into making things they don't want to make or do but we do have a general plan in what goes in as we like to keep the mod well balanced and everything needs to be quality passed before it goes into release versions. Basically we do what we do in our own time and when we have free time @ RHS ;)

  5. 3DArtist has some great news for everyone :)

    "After coutless night of work, exhaustion, lots of problems during the process and enpormous wait times between software responses I`ve finally managed to get the whole TU-95MS PBR ready+ all the panel lines has been hand redrawn :)

    P.S. Exterior of Tu-95MS has finally entered final stage of texturing, all have to do now is paint some weathering and leaks from water.

    Here are a couple of things going into next version.

    I have added and created from scratch a new camo to replace the old temporary one for the Tigr which was really just a placeholder due to manw contest due date.

    Please type in English, what post was deleted?

    If your refering to the one in the WIP thread, that thread was closed due to it not being WIP anymore and is now a released addon so a new one has being opened here in completed addons and mods. Comment is still there and was replied to in the old thread.

    We do not like to venture in too much detail over future plans :P surprise is always needed ;)

    but I'm pretty certain heavy sniper's are planned as are many other small arms and many other big things :D

    Just one question, non of the russian tanks have night vision/thermal optics not even the T-80s is this how it supposed to be?

    Did you hit the "+" key on the numpad?


  9. I haven't followed discussions in detail so pls forgive me if I'm rehashing old issues, but I was wondering about the "more current" equipment of the RFAF. I've seen pics of a BMP-3 on your FB page. Does that mean more modern stuff like the T-90s, T-72B3 etc are going to come at some point?

    Yes. BMP-3's, T-90's are planned at some point as are many other modern things ;)
