Which do you think is better and why?
-
Is it just me who thinks there are too few enemy units? Every village is so empty that all I do is just standing next to strong point to capture it. Nothing more, nothing less. This kind of game is mostly about killing enemies, but they are rarely seen in this game.
-
I just made my own mission with dozens of friendly and hostile units and had a massive and chaotic battle. Yes, I realized it would be wise to make my own mission with tons of units than wait for the imaginary patch unlikely to be released.
-
It may be true, but it's us who decide whether their decision is right or wrong.
-
Yeah, OFP had satisfactorily many enemy units to kill. What ArmA 2 urgently needs for the proper gameplay is not fixing trifling bugs, but adding much more enemy units to the missions.
-
More enemies will definitely make the game more challenging and hard to beat. But current game doesn't give me much of a challenge due to lack of enemy units. That's what I think. Dogs of War.

Fix for Dogs of War Conversation in Beginning
scener replied to BlackAlpha's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Great. It works. But could you also make the fix for Badlands(teammates not responding bug)? -
What are you talking about? I said the STORY of Resistance(expansion pack) was unmatched.
-
Whenever I run or drive fast, they always lose me, and start finding me like crazy where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? I'm bored to hear that.
-
I think the X factor is story. The story of Res was truely immersive. It can't be matched.

My fav vehicle is T90 because it is almost invincible and it makes me feel safe when confronted by any enemy. And it's enjoyable to see small vehicles blown sky-high when hit by shell. lol :bounce3:
-
It's precious info. Thanks!
-
haha yes, it takes some time to get used to it. Apart from anything else, T90 is so cool looking bitch, so I can't help loving it. :)
-
Am I the only one who loves T90? lol Why nobody loves T90?

Two suggestions that will make the game perfect
scener replied to scener's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
It may be just a matter of taste, but I think many units will make the gameplay much more active and interesting. And I also think every town needs to have much more enemies to kill than it currently has, as you have almost nothing to do in empty town with few enemies. -
1. Make it available to buy units at outposts. Now the game allows you to buy units only at HQ. It's very inconvenient because you have to go back to HQ to buy units whenever they are killed. It will be very convenient if it's possible to buy units at outposts as well as HQ. 2. Make the static weapon manned automatically when player builds it. Now whenever you make static weapon, it's always empty, so that you have to buy units at the HQ and take them to every static weapon and order them to get in it. It's so inefficient and time-consuming. The static weapon should be automatically manned when built by player for the efficient gameplay. This game has so many potentials and much room to improve. To make the game pefect, you MUST realize those unrealized potentials. Keep up the good work. And thanks for the great game. :)

Please disable the auto save when quitting a mission
scener replied to trickster1982's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I hope the developer read this thread carefully and realize what the problem is and what its users really want. :) -
Oh my mistake. Yes, T-90. I also like ka-52 because of its mobility, although its armor is rather weak.
-
What do you think is the most critical factor that makes ArmA 2 different from other shooters? Ultimate Realism? Unique Gameplay? Superb Graphics? Tons of Mods? Or Anything else?
-
I have an issue related to static defenses. When AI is the commander, the static defense is automatically manned when it's built by him. But when I am the commander, it is always unmanned when I build it. What I wonder is, is there any way to make the the static defense automatically manned when I build it? Or should I buy soldiers at the HQ and take them to every static defense and order them to get in it every time I build it?

ArmA2 1.03 Impressions - ALL Impressions/Videos/Screenies Here
scener replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Thank you guys for detailed reviews. As for me, I feel both satisfied and disatisfied with the game. I cay say I'm satisfied as far as techincal issues are concerned because the game ran quite well on my machine without serious problems. But I'm truely disatisfied with some of the gameplay mechanisms because they are so inefficient and time-wasting, e.g. static weapon with no gunner, units available only at HQ. They are not bugs, but developer's absurd decision. Besides that, I think it's far better than its predecessor in all aspects and in that it reminds me of OFP. So I can safely say ArmA 2 will become the best military shooter if some wrong gameplay mechanisms are fixed so that the game uses its maximum potential properly. -

Most review sites' reviews are so subjective and incorrent. The same goes for other games and I don't trust their reviews anymore. So I want to hear users' frank and objective review of ArmA 2. The review doesn't need to be long. Just show us your genuine feeling toward this game. -
If you can destroy tank by pistol, the game would be so unrealistic. This game is worth only when it has realism. Without realism, this game is not different from mindless shooting games like COD.

Arma 2 Addon request thread
scener replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I'd like to see a mod that makes the static weapon automatically manned when built by player. As you know, the static weapon has no gunner whenever you build it, which is so unreasonable and non-understandable. So I want a talented modder to make a mod to fix the disastrous game mechanism. Thanks in advance. -
It is mystery why the developer chose the unreasonable nonsense game mechanism. If the developer has no intention to fix this issue, then our only hope is a talented modder who will make a mod to fix this issue.
