  1. Does anyone have any plans for a massive US server? My ping time is usually 180, so I get kicked from all the european servers. Pretty big bummer.

  5. I have a desktop I use mainly for gaming (i7 / GTX 275), but the game runs decently on my laptop. And as for the touchpad, once you get use to it, it's suprising playable. My laptop goes on my lap, and I've got no room for a mouse. I don't see what the problem is - so what if someone is running a game on a mobile computer and is using a touchpad? The game should still work.
  6. I've got an actual computer for playing games, but, I decided to fire up ArmA 2 to see if my new laptop could handle it, and it runs it amazingly on low settings (C2D 2.5, 4GB, ATI 4570). I might leave it on here so my brother and I can lan a CO-OP mission from time to time, but I've got one problem: Outside of the game, I've got no problem scrolling around on any page, document, or program, however in ArmA 2, I can't use my touchpad to scroll, and as a result have no way of using the map, or action menus. I know I should just get a mouse with a scroll wheel, but the virtual touchpad isn't too bad once one gets adjusted. Is there anyway to make the laptop scroll wheel work? Or, can I have some other key bound to scroll (arrows, etc.)? Thank you.
  7. I dropped a few settings to get the object detail up to high, but I'm still getting some painful z-fighting. I'm just bummed (as I'm sure many are), that my i7 (now overclocked to 3.8ghz) and 275 can't take this game.

Here are my specifications: GTX 275 (Stock OC'd on Nvidia 186.18) i7 @ 2.9Ghz (Anything higher didn't seem to impact performance much) Windows XP SP3 4Gb @ 1400mhz DDR3 Settings: View Distance = 5555 Resolution / 3D = 1920x1200 Texture = Very High Memory = Very High Aniso = High AA = High Object Details = Very Low Post = High Shadows = High Terrain Detail = High Performance is decent (40ish usually), but the pop-in and texture glitching is a pain in the rear - what can I do? And, what would be the optimal settings for my computer?

  10. Hey all, quick question: When I have a mission setup where an AI (friendly) squad goes into a battle, then is told to leave and move somewhere else, I end missing at least five soldiers. It's bizzare - I'll run all the way back to the first battlefield, and find various soldiers just standing around, while the rest of the squad is away in the next town. How to I get the AI to actually stick together?
  11. Hey all, sorry if my question has an obvious answer, but I was wondering - how do I get the various awesome templates into the regular editor for use in missions? I'd love to have a couple bases setup.
