we have same issues, a friend & me got that early access version 3 days ago. but playing together in multiplayer is impossible. he has that wasd problem when he joins my game, and i cant conect his games because of lags/ ping issues. But well, i have 150mbit conection with latencys arround 25-30. Is there any way to fix this problems? I know its an early access but... i love that game

When its available... im actual testing the version. Think we will upload it to our server today. @ Spkka: Its normal that only the mission.sqm is in folder. You have extracted the original pbo file? Then copy all other files, except the mission.sqm, in your missionfolder and it works.

Hi, im Gröbel from FHW. As Desiderius said, we have the same problems with v0.7... We reworked XR 18/18 Version to more flags (actual 24 fighting areas). There are no performance differences between XR and FHW 18 Player version. V0.7 made by sqeeze has a lot of bugs, main problem is the player slot bug or commander slot bug. So we decided to make a new version based on v0.6. Its more stable (i think best version actual). We will use the 12/12 Player version and set new warzones that 2 airports/ airfields are fightable. Think we all have to wait till squeeze will release a new, more stable, version. What we find out too is that custom files and mods will increase the size of arma2 error log a lot. Without addons/ mods or custom files the error log is really small... some megabyte only. With addons/ mods or custom files it reaches the gb area. I think that this is a arma2 netcode problem. For that, i think - and hope - we have to wait for 1 or 2 more patches from bohemia. ---------- Post added at 12:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ---------- @CPL Hunter: For sure, nearly everything is possible in Arma2. The question is if someone will create what you asking for. 2nd question is if someone will play your version of warfare. And thats the problem. As you can see, only less player want to play veteran mode. If we set our server to easier than veteran, the server is allways full of players. If we set it to veteran and hard ai, it takes a lot of time till its full. So i think your version wont have a real chance because you`ll find only less players who want to play. What you have to do is: Extract the file (with pboview) to a directory which has the same name as your warfare version. Then put the directory to "your files/ArmA 2 Other Profiles/ your Profile/ MPMissions. Now you can edit it.

Dear Arma2 Dev Team, a lot of people using bad dsl conections. It allready known that most dsl owners in germany dont have a real good broadband conection. For example: I own a 384 kbit/s dsl conection because better isnt available. If players conecting to servers, which are using custom contents like faces or sounds, low dsl users get problems with their conections because they have to download the content. Thats why a lot of server dont accept custom parts. So please include a function that makes it possible to choose if a player will see and hear customs or not.

different improvements, specially for multiplayer

I hope that most think the same... multiplayer is the best part of arma2. But there`s a bad mp support for that game. I think, that a server manager is a important thing for arma2. In MP there are other things we need. There are a lot of noobs stealing tanks, vehicles and planes etc. You can kick them but the vehicle is almost lost after that or its too far away. So we need a feature that makes it nearly impossible to steal anything. Maybe a request feature. If someone will get into your vehicle a question about is shown to you. If you say no, the vehicle cant be used by this user for example. There`s another important one i saw in 4 or 5 fights in past. If a fight takes enough time, nearly 3, 4 or 5 hours, nearly everyone can purchase everything. So you reach a problem at airports. Someone purchase 2 or 3 helicopters and your plane spawns after them or behind a building. Now its nearly impossible to get the plane started. Somebody tried to pick up a plane, it works but it causes synchronity problems to all players - for 2 or 3 minutes... so this feature dont work right way. OK Maybe the airplane building is placed wrong but is it possible to include a replace feature? Dont let the plane spawn, i think the player should spawn the plane in a range to the airport building. An now, my last. Airplanes are support vehicles for ground troops. Is it possible to include a commander feature, which tells you - as pilot - where you have to fight? I think that a commander should give orders to pilots which are shown in hud or something. -

Are we the betatester? 1st... Arma 2 has a lot of possibilities. It looks really great, great "war feeling", great landscape (think about making hollidays there). But there are a lot of bugs... the greatest problem is the ai. Sometimes they are to offensive, running into enemy fire and got injured. So your mainjob - actually - is to heal them. But as i said...they are often to far away. So if you are injured nobody comes to heal you... your mission is over. Betapatch 1.1 did a lot in ai waypoint but its not enough. One another big big problem is the missing dedicated server. Playing campaign with this buggy ai is nearly impossible but playing with friends isnt impossible to... hosting a game... ok but only few people owns pc`s that can handle this. So what we need is - in this order: DEDICATED SERVER FILES BIG AI PATCH and we need people who dont talk only about the bad things. -
As the Thread name shows... Maybe we are to stupid to find it but we are missing a windows/ linux dedicated server... Thats nearly the biggest mistake you have done!

The system is not very effective. A friend with QuadCore reported that his 4 Cores reaches 80%, with a real good grafics card and full hd resolution... We tested it with and without Crossfire Dualcore and we reached nearly 80% on only 2 Cores... So thats a little bit strange. Good to see is that Crossfire seems to work (sometimes with strange white flickering). I reach arround 50fps with dualcore e8500, 2x ati hd4870, 4GB DDR Corsair XMS Dominator and Creative X-FI Sound support. 50fps is the normal, actual not less than 40... sometimes more than 50...
