I will buy the DLC too, new maps are always nice. As long as you keep improving with patches I'm cool. :D I also want trees that take less performance, I remember back in 2009 somebody released an addon which I can't remember the name. But It took away the most detailed tree LODs. The trees still looked very nice and fps near trees/forests went up the sky !

I'm not praising anything. I just want to play with my friends and try to search a solution for that problem. I give dumb answers because I don't know how all the things work. That means something deleted the registry-keys after installation, right ? Because I installed the newest CO patch not long ago.Ouh man... solved it I was looking for the registry entry at the wrong direction. Was looking at "CurrentUser\Software\Bohemia" before, but it was at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2". The OA and BAF folders had "Standard", "Key" and "MAIN" in it. The ArmA 2 folder had "MAIN" missing. I created a new "MAIN" string and copied "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2" into it and now everything is fine. Still don't know how that entry disappeared... Greetz, Cionara

I don't play much PvP anymore. Some weeks ago it was very funny in Warfare BE. We were like 6 Stinger manpads, 3 avengers, and 10 AA soldiers on the ground, no chance against a su-34 that kept spamming flares like crazy and bombed us to death. Are non-radarguided missiles really that easy to dodge ?

@Lonewolf I would invest in a real water cooling system. Not a budget one. And also make your self confident with overclocking. Look at my signature, the new i5 2500k cpus can be overclocked to 4.5-5Ghz when watercooled, costing only 150 bucks. SSD is a must, helped me get stuttering away in ArmA 2 and DCS. I would choose a gtx 580/HD6970 graphics card, you can integrate that into the water cooling circle. Because if you choose a solution with 2 gpus (SLI/Crossfire or gtx590, hd6990) you will have micro stuttering, some people like me find that very annoying. Search a good 1155 board, take a 2500k (the 2600k is not as good as that one for overcloking). Get 8 gigs ddr3 ram. A >128Gb ssd. A >650watt PSU. A gtx580 graphics card and a proper water cooling system. That will cost you ~1000€. For me Arma 2 runs perfect with such a system. I've been searching a way to improve performance but right now you won't find a cpu with more than 4.8Ghz. And gtx 580 (hd6970) are the best gpus on the market which do not have micro stuttering problems. If they solved this issue someone tell me please :) sry for my english ^^

I don't know how it happened but it seems that other users got the same problem. I didn't move files and ArmA2 never crashed for me. I just had to install it a few times because I first didn't know that I had to install to the same directory to get CO. Did anyone who can't install use Ccleaner ? Could imagine that registry cleaning could have did that. By the way, why can I install new beta patches though ? Aren't they using the same registry-keys that this 1.10 patch needs ?

I didn't really understand, you have to help me there. I can't install a new patch and because I have a problem you want me to play Nintendo ? I said it "once you criticize something about the game everybody will flame you" and some seconds later it happens. I've been called an aggressive bully, had to hear that germans and people with bad english should play Nintendo. I won't answer to such flames anymore. I'd be glad to hear a solution to our problem regarding patch 1.10. Reinstalling is an option, I thank the people who posted that, but there must be another way. Would be nice to hear an answer from the developers to this.

I want to play ArmA2-Free with my friends, I'm supporting this game and the community for over 2 years. Now I can't install the newest patch to play with my friends because Bohemia made a mistake in a patch or in the installation. Instead of an answer from Bohemia to my problem I have to read posts from a racist. That's fun !

Reinstalling is no option for me. Why do you post here without giving constructive feedback ? What's your problem ? Ah, get the f*ck out of here ! People can't install this patch and you act like it's our fault. Now I understand the people claiming the ArmA2-Community sucks, because once you criticize something about Bohemia or the game, everybody will flame you.

Why should I install the game again and reduce the lifespan of my Crucial Real SSD ? I did'nt make a mistake. I am, and all the other people, are not responsible for some missing registry-keys. Bohemia should fix that, it's their fault.

Can't they just put out a fix or something ? Lots of people can't install 1.10 and it's like Bohemia gives a f*ck about it.

I'm not going to reinstall again. I rather wait for a new CO patch. It's not my bad that these registry keys aren't there where they should be. And my Crucial Real SSD doesn't like writing/erasing 20gb for many times. Because that reduces it's lifetime.

What do we have in commin that we can't install 1.10 ? I have the sprocket version of CO and win7x64, newest CO patch.

What do you mean ? I installed A2 and OA to the same folder so I got CO. In my registry I can only find "Arma 2 OA". (CurrentUser\Software\Bohemia\ArmA 2 OA) Someone please find a way to fix it, I would like to play with my friends in A2Free.

I've been critizising that since release last summer. One solution is to download a low vegetation mod which replaces the trees with lower detailed ones. I don't remember the name, didn't play ArmAII for months. I think BIS is too proud of their Linda Vegetation. They rather have every single PC running ArmAII creeping around 10fps then replace their vegetation with low res ones ;)

It's a game, like ACE 2 can not give you the effect of turning your head in real life and looking the same spot ingame. For that you need TrackIR or Freetrack. With blackout I think is the same. Use a brick falling on your head instead of claiming it should be modded. Yo can't have that effect ingame ^^

Yea, not even a scratch on the nose ^^ ArmA 2 would need modular aircraft models so you could loose wings and stuff, that would be cool, maybe in some years. And very funny ending. "We're heavily damaged...BOOOOOM"
