    Patch 1.24 (Bootcamp Update) Feedback

    The virtual arsenal is great, I'd like to see the firing range aspect of it improve though. Maybe have different targets show up depending on the current weapon in your hands, or just add more targets, like near and far vehicles, choppers jets etc. Other than that I think it's great.

    Weapon sway is not great, holding breath seems to have almost no effect. Need bipods/resting for this new system. The fixed sway when stopping and sighting up encourages camping. I like the idea of separating grip/breath though.

    What would you like to see worked on next in ArmA 3?

    My first choice would have been deffered lighting/shading, but it was not an option, so I chose damage model not for body armor but for an overhaul of vehicle damage. FPS/performance/Net code is a never ending thing so no point in it being on this poll imo.

    Can't recreate it myself now, it was the lower hatch of the two that it was clipping through, so my guess is the height was correct but the unit shift right some.

    Commanders head clips through hatch cover in T34 and Shilka has some purple textures when destroyed. Great work on these units.

  9. Just had a go with it, brilliant work. Feels like a UAV should.

When I click on the multiplayer button to open the server browser I get a roughly 10-20 second delay/freeze (the stylized black screen with the faint white lines running across it) before the browser shows up, I also get this delay when I hit refresh (game stops rendering in the background and is unresponsive), but not every time. I get the same delay/freeze when disconnecting from a server (stays at lobby but unresponsive), presumably as it then goes back to the server browser. I did not get this issue when I first got the survive patch, but has started doing this in the last 2 days. A mate got this same issue first launch post survive patch. It's not the vars file issue, vars was only 183kb, applied the fix anyways with no result. Have tested a range of start up parameters (mem, cores, threads, none etc.), current nvidia drivers are up to date (R331.65) and have not changed post survive patch. Successfully verified files via steam with no files re-downloaded. Also my connection is not having any issues. Suggestions?

  13. We don't have any F/A 18E. I assume this is because the F's were bought to fill the void left when the F-111's were buried, the 2 man crews from them swapped to F/A18.

    Tier1 Silencer Fix

    Does this reduce the light intensity of the muzzle flash? By this I mean the light cast on the environment around the shooter rather than the muzzle flash itself. My related ticket.

  19. Tab locking a set GPS co-ord target would be preferred. I'm making a mission atm that involves F/A 18E air support for troops on the ground and currently it's rubbish because the jets can just wipe the floor on their own. What I would love to see is a way for the ground troops to data link with the jets, to have a JTAC unit upload targets for JDAMS during the mission. Other wise simply have troops map mark the location of targets for the pilot to manually input GPS co-ords. What ever the method tab locking onto the input target would be next. Maybe the UAV terminal system could be re-purposed for that datalink. Also the A2 Mk82 behavior needs to go. Where you tab onto a target with JDAM and then fly basically directly at it and get a lock. Would want the JDAM to only lock to input GPS co-ords, other wise act as a freefall bomb (CCIP plz). I'd also ask that AIM-120 and AIM-9X cannot lock ground targets. I'm not sure of the realism here but I find it clumsy and annoying. Especially when you're trying to lock aircraft that are near a bunch of ground targets. Restricting the harpoon to naval targets only would be ok by me, but it would limit them in their use a bit since we don't (yet) have any large ships. Using it on an assault boat seems a bit overkill.
