  1. Well I say this because at this stage in the life of the Ps3 and the 360 it is a little too late to be still "speculating" on a new title, I mean the xbox 720 and the Ps4 are in development as we speak and when those two start the new console wars in the next couple of years you won't be able to scream loud enough to get gamers attention about a new 360 or ps3 game, they will salivating over the new platforms, If it ain't coming out very soon then I would just speculate these studios are trying to figure out if they just want to wait for the new machines. Just my guess though.

And history will repeat itself, which speaks volumes.

  2. So you are in the desert, the guy next to you has a bottle of water, and you, you have nothing but you tell him that you have a fridge full with cold beer at home.

Sorry, but i'd take the bottle of water anytime:)

Strange analogy, but, really, couldn't of said it better myself.

  3. Soooo, nobody cares about the fact that I spotted an Xbox 360 developer console in a video about Operation Arrowhead that was taken from inside BI's headquarters...

I thought that some of you would have gone crazy by now...;)

No need to get crazy over something that isn't announced officially. It may come out, it may not. Who is to say? Two monitors propped up by 360s don't give me any indication of whether a publisher has been found or not (the big hurdle as I understand it).

But, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

  4. I don't have the patience to set up the controller manually -- hence the need to switch it even though the "scheme" is applied.

And if you did, you wouldn't be able to map the "fire" command to the right-trigger. Which in itself is another issue.

I've been trying to find an answer to the op's questions myself with no luck. Anyone have a clue?

  5. Ah, I see now. In the controllers menu it's listed twice. If I select the top one I can change my controls as I see fit but can't assign firing to the right trigger. If I select the bottom one it's all automatically setup but I can't change any controller settings (and all the menus show the controller buttons and what not). I'd still like to customize my controller a little more than that though.

I'm having the same issue, on the top controller I can customize to my heart's desire except for assigning fire to the right trigger.

With the bottom controller configuration it's all nice and dandy but I can't invert the look axes. If anyone knows how to get around this, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

  6. Been playing the demo a bit, and this game is so ideal for the 360. I'm playing with the default layout for my 360 controller and most (if not all) actions can be accomplished without touching the keyboard/mouse. I just need to figure out how to invert my Y-axis and I'll be set, but I digress.

It's a real shame that ArmA II may not be making its way over to the 360. I know I'd buy it if it did.

  7. That video clearly has the Xbox 360 buttons on display (red "B" for "back", yellow "Y" for "show info", blue "X" for "viewer" and, green "A" for "try"). From the options I gather that this is from "The Armory."

I'm so happy, I've got tears in my eyes. Long time ArmA player and looking forward to the 360 release.

  8. Forget the distance and just look at how big they seem in your scope. Fire a round close to or at an enemy and see where it lands and use that point as the one you aim your future shots with.

Thanks. I finally got through it. I forwent the tower and went inside the shed right next door. I had a few close calls, where a couple of dudes rushed my position and I had to take them out with my pistol. But, it was like taking candy from a baby. Good times!

  9. I'm playing through ArmA for the first time (better late than never, right?) and I'm also having one helluva time with this.

Any tips on composing my shots, I am missing a-whole-lot (too many years playing CoD and the like, I guess) and can't seem to judge the distance correctly?
