I'm going to my local magazine shop to see if they received it. When it was supposed to actually come out? BTW is this the one with the Starcraft II Cover? -
About TrackIR Software. Will it work on Windows 7 64Bits? I'm downloading the RC as I speak. Thanks

I think it was great for those who never heard of Track IR before. The game looked great and all. However I completely agree with Hyp3rdyn3 because it doesn't offer more than Track IR 3 and 4 and that's a letdown. I also agree about the presentation being slow & boring but as you can see this guy is clearly not a professional speaker. I think he mainly did this for fun and the fans of ARMA because he simply like the game & his Track IR and I'm absolutely fine with this.

*W0lle* is right about the publishers having the rights to decide to release the game or not. That's why so many games are released with bugs & glitches. Because publishers sign a contract with developers and devs told them the game will be ready & finished at X date. But when the date finally arrives, bugs are found, unexpected problems appears and developers need more time to polish it but theirs hands are tied to a contract. Take a look at Empire: Total War. This is the lastest game I've bought. Fantastic game! But ridden with bugs & flaws. That's because Creative Assembly signed a contract with SEGA and they shipped the game even if it wasn't ready. Now CA told us they'll keep updating the game for a very long time. I think they've released 5 patches since the release (two months ago) and this is only the beginning! I really hate this! The game feels like a Public Beta. Take a look at Valve. They release their games only when they're ready. Sure it does take more time but at the end it's a much more enjoyable experience. And with Steam it's even easier & quicker to update their games. On a personal note I'm hoping BIS are free to delay the game as long as they want if it needs to. IMO if they could drop their publisher altogether and only release the game on Steam, worldwide, at the same date. I'll be happy! (But I know most people doesn't want this :) ) -

Old build Old build... Yes it might be an old build but it's from February. It's not THAT old. Do you think they'll have the time to fix all theses problems in ~3 months? I HIGHLY doubt it! -
I think I have found 2 new screens: http://www.idea-games.com/images/stories/arma_ii/arma2_chernarus_18.jpg http://www.idea-games.com/images/stories/arma_ii/arma2_chernarus_14.jpg Are they new?

ArmA II release date discussion thread
Tyl3n0L replied to Misfit Leader's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Yeah hopefully it wont be long before BIS announce a release date for North America. I really wish they release it on Steam for us in Canada this time around! -
I'm sure most of you guys are wondering how the game will run on your computer. Which is a totally normal question. Maybe this could help you out: IGN Hands-On 20th April 2009 ...And the good news is that it ran well at very high detail settings with an 8800GTX, which is practically a mid-range graphics card now. And that's based on a Preview Build. I'm sure the final version will be even better. I think BI really optimised this game to scale well on a large variety of PC (Well, hopefully! )

I'm a long time lurker but I recently registred to this forums. And I must say the more I'm seeing this game in action the more I want it. It does look very good especially with Track IR. Last year I almost bought a TrackIR 4 for FSX alone. Glad I didn't bought it. I will sure buy a TrackIR 5 along with ARMA II when it'll finally come out. On Another note I never played the original ARMA... My computer at that time couldn't handle it. Now that I have upgraded my PC do you think I should buy it or wait for ARMA II? Is it worth it? Thanks Dslyecxi for this nice video!
