hi everyone i wont to make same minor upgrade for arma 2 (CPU or GPU) my current specs: cpu e8200 (oced on 3600 mhz) gpu ATI HD 4850 (only 512MB ram) MB asus p5k-e/wifi ram 4GB 800mhz oc W 7 64bit it seems that arma 2 is very cpu dependant so i guess cpu is the right choice and if it is so what kind of quad core cpu (lga 775) should i buy for overall improvement? (rather cheaper and with some nice overclocking capabilities) THX very much for help :)

SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH - but i think that my post can be useful for some people So i have hd 4850 512mb RAM - and only way how i could play(not really) the game was setting video memory bar on low, every other alternative was totaly unplayable (all-high,all-low doesnt matter) When i was building low end PC for my cousin (half old stuff, half new) i saw that his motherboard have only one 16x pcie slot which is only pretending to be 16x pcie in reality it was just 4x pci express which mean that it have small data transfer between GPU and mobo. After a little research i realized that my own mobo have two 16x pcie slots but one real and one fake version, of course my card was in the wrong one. After a quick switch everything is better, now i can let VM bar on normal or high and still have decent fps. Im still working on it but this problem is definitely solved, so if anybody have same problem just look what kind of slot u have, switch it or buy new mobo because i dont think any BIS patch can solve this :) PS: i hope u can understand my post because my english is beyond horrible :)

HI i have a question, can i play arma 2 on some decent setting(and with playable FPS) with this PC? Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 3328MB RAM DDR2 800MHZ (actually 4GB but windows xp cant work with it) System Model: Asus P5K-E Graphic card: ATI HD4850 512MB Should i buy ARMA 2 at all? I refuse to play with everything on low, and for PC change is too early for me. And of course big THANKS to everyone for help :) (and sry for my english:)
