Socomseal

I've just read about the Take On Helicopters rearmed patch, which sounds quite cool. However, I could not find details on how this linking of games works. My question is, if I buy the steam version of Take On Helicopters, will that work with my DVD edition of A2/OA? Preferably without having to do any PBO moving.
