Thanks, that seemed to work. I think maybe it only loads if you didn't load a game first.
-
You can also just send a new rover, but that can be rather expensive.
-
Hrm... How do you use the mission editor? I can get as far as loading into a map, but no GUI appears, I cannot move, etc. Something I am missing? Bug?

I can assure you that the store is quite reliable. I have purchased both Arma 3 and Take on Mars via the store, in addition to 3 Arma map packs. BIS also receive more money from the sale, despite you paying the same amount of money. You will receive a steam key with purchase from the BIS store.

That means I get to play by maybe, the second or third of August :( My connection sucks hard.

I don't think so, as the price is already really low. Plus it would be odd to offer a discount on day one after people pre-purchased the game, and have not even gotten it yet. Not an authoritative answer, by any means, but I would really doubt it.

Take On Mars discussion (continued from off-topic)

I believe that it is a "slot" style system. You choose a rover frame, which has slots, or attachment point, on which, you might place an arm, camera, drill, or some other item. I do not believe you can build the rovers/landers from scratch, such as placing wheels, batteries, etc.- 111 replies

It really is brilliant to see something like this. BIS tend to be pretty good at ignoring the mainstream, and doing a great game, based on what they want.

Just in case they don't have time, I threw this together. It is not native resolution, but that is because the images I had were not high enough for retina screens. Its shaped for the iphone 5, but should scale for earlier iphones just fine. http://i.imgur.com/1jZfckd.png (235 kB)- 111 replies

While I love the features provided in Steamworks (simple server browser, friends, achievements, stats tracking and most of all steam workshop for mods) I don't think it's fair to make A3 a steam only game, when it has survived for so long without it. There are 1 or 2 games out there with support for steamworks on steam copies, but that function without it fine, If possible, that would be my preference. I doubt it will happen however, as that is another chunk of dev work. Although, maybe some of the money from all the steam sales thanks to dayz could cover some of the steamworks integration :D
