I am currently working on a Ladder-truck, and I have come into a bind; I need to be able to control four animations with precision. Is it possible to run an animation by a key-bind when the key is pressed and stop when the key is depressed? Furthermore, is it possible to run a dialog with scroll-bars that determine the degree of the animation as seen in vbs2? If either are possible, could some one please post a tutorial or an example? Thank you for your help and future input.

New public police cars!
coldfuse replied to Citizen Society RPG's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I could not have said it any better. In my mind rules don't matter when the person has a defined read-me as comprehensive as delthawks. Just because he is not willing to respond does not give you the right to make changes to this model or even release any of its content. -
Texture Size Question: 1024 x 4096?
coldfuse replied to mikebart's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
There shouldn't be a problem as long as the texture size is in the power of 2. -
Your Specular map only controls how light affects the surface, to affect the color change your specular color within the rvmat.
-
You need to have it under the p drive created by bis tools.

No, not unless you plan to edit and play ofp. You will be fine with just arma1 or arma 2 depending on which variant you want to edit. Here's the arma 2 tool-set And here is the arma 1 tool-set.

How I can modding with Blender
coldfuse replied to Jaskier's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
Open Source is always good, Maybe with your toolkit and blenders price maybe its time to give blender another shot.. -
If we could convert things back to mlod's there would be pure chaos! Even if it could be done nobody will tell you how, as odols prevent people from editing, exporting and/or exploiting community made models. As for odol explorer I think that's a tool from ofp and is no longer relevant. However, If its mlods your looking to edit here you are you can thank bis for these.

Your best bet is to take a gander at the unbinarized models released by bis, You should find them in the arma 1 editing section on armaholic. I would take a look at this link here, They helped me.

As long as you can export to obj or 3ds your fine...as far as .tga textures .tga or .png will work with texview.

Ok, this i my first addon im still learning i didn't create the model...i got the rights from the original artist to convert it. There will be a private military version with a turret, because I am more interested in the military aspects of this game. There will be some armor and such and some of the windows will have the ability to have m249's hanging out side the windows..the front lights will flash and so will the rear flashers . as for the decals on the windows...it was intended as a joke cause we wanted to create a k-9 to go with it. I have plans to redo alot on it...but if you want to play around with the model your self you can download it here Download the suburbans This mod is released open source and free to edit and better with the following stipulations - if you intend on releasing it you must leave it unbinarized or encrypted and open to the public to edit. - You must keep all the orginal credits for there work done. - The textures, model, and anything that comes with the model must not be converted to any other game and/or engine - the The model/addon is released free of charge - must not be used in a mod other then citylife with out written consent.
