Make your own MP & SP BattleField 3 Missions
clivewil replied to zonekiller's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
thanks for sharing your work Zonekiller, this will be quite handy. i've already had a lot of fun on your pre-made chernarus and utes BF missions, so thanks for those too. nicely done. -

thanks for your kind comments guys. ah, well that's the tricky bit. i don't have a complete set of tri-views and reference photos for one specific version; my tri-view sides are E-7SPS but i had no top/bottom views for that, so i had to kludge some together from a MiG-21R (using E6-T3 for the wing tips) i wanted to build a 'big nosed' version, i.e. not like the narrow-nosed Fishbed-C/J-7/F-7 type with the shorter intake spike, and i liked how the E-7SPS had the large nose but also used the one-piece canopy so far i haven't managed to find any decent info on the gun pack - just a few blurry photos. i will keep looking. -

my first attempt at a model for ArmA2 - a MiG-21 Fishbed, it's only about 20% complete so far. yeah i guess there's probably a few Fishbeds (or Lancers, or Bisons etc.) already around for A2, but i wanted something familiar and simple as a first project. -
great game, thank you very much BIS. thanks also for supporting modders the way you have been. i'm just in the process of moving here from modding Battlefield 2, where modders were treated more like wino's with BO and flatulence... it's great to find somewhere where modding isn't a dirty word. thanks again.

many thanks for these missions, thomsonb. very cool indeed  for those of us who stick only with singleplayer, they are brilliant. now downloading 2.4 (for some reason Utes CTDs on me after about 10 minutes every time, but i suspect that i broke it, not you)

that's good to hear. thanks.

what triggers FADE and sets it off? i have a legit store-bought ArmA2 - the 505 edition, purchased from EB Games - and i have modified the air.pbo and ah46.pbo while changing the loadouts on the AH-1Z and AH-64D. i will never play online, only ever SP, so i'm not worried about being kicked from a server for modified content, but i'd like to know what makes FADE activate the reason i ask is because while tweaking a user mission, i changed a heli on the carrier into a Ka-52 and the damn thing just sits there bouncing and it's impossible to enter it. it only seems to affect the Ka-52 that i have noticed - AH-1Z, AH-64, Mi-24, F-35 etc. are all ok. is this just an issue with the Blackshark itself, or is my game now FADE-poisoning itself? edit - > added pic of my dvd etc. next to this post as proof of currently being in ownership of legit ArmA2 (and will happily send Placebo photos of my receipt and cd-key if it means it gets me an answer to my question) [iM]http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a212/clivewil/YesItsLegit.jpg[/img]>100kb

good clean fun, and no problems. thanks RangerX3X. :)

me too, with the freeze accompanied by a sound loop. i've only noticed it since the 1.05 patch but hadn't owned the game long before patching. gfx and audio drivers have been updated, and i wound the settings back a fair bit to reduce the load. no difference. temperatures seem ok. no overclocking. no problems with other games.

those flags didn't seem to shorten loading times when used by themselves, but both together they do, i.e: arma.exe -nosplash -world=empty certainly made for a much quicker startup on my system, anyway...
