If this problem doesnt occur with other dvd's it could be a securom problem. some dvd players dont support the method securom uses to check its a original cd, trying plugging in a mates dvd drive to your pc and see what it does if it still doesnt load ( i know you have the latest firmware ) walk to your closest GAME store stand out side and proceed to   constantly untill they give you a new pc ....

I had a similar problem with my Uk version saying " securom error 7000 " love for money i couldnt repair it and had to format ! unless securom tells u it has a problem dont think its securom , explain how the cd doesnt reconize doesnt it auto run cant you see it in the d: drive..

Lol well yeah after i formatted i forgot about battlefield 2142 i had installed and many other's But ill see what they can do ... i might asked for one of those 14k rpm cheetah drives as a replacement .... but i honestly deleted every imaginable image tool , including nero, magic iso and daemon * the three i had installed and tryed every thing from reg cure and what securom advised !! But hey Its all good now ..

They need to develop a non intrusive but secure system, with the growing use of the internet maybe a online verification but yet again that can be tricked as well and for people who dont have the internet it can be hard, They need to think or a different method other then serial keys to have protection, Maybe some typeverification that is produced when you are at the shop, like mobile phone top up systems and your key becomes active only after you have bought the game .. ?

I know what you mean copy protection doesnt really work .... take gal civ 2 for instance.. no cd key .. no copy protection yet made number 1 Best selling game for a while. Individual cd keys is a good way of protection .. i just think copy protection programs are getting more and more intrusive ... which means Piraters will get more and more intrusive. But i admit i downloaded gal civ 2 ... and whent and bought the game i used the download as a * very large demo with all features * but i did go and buy it mainly because they didnt use no protection and this was at the height of the Starforce generation.. well my system is formatted and nice and clean now * accept the game ! when is the english patch !

Formatted *whimpers * but it got armed assault working so yay !! securom has really done there work this time I hope piraters have a hard time cracking this one

i think i will have to i think my registry has gone haywire ... any way i sent of to securom if they cant do it looks like its format time ...

I just bought arma and when i install i get a securom 7000 error i deleted and uninstalled all my virtual drive programs and did everything securom advised me to do, and i reinstalled like 4 05 times ! but it is still happening i then thought maybe the crack might work so i tried that and got a ppspeculer shader error ! im running a athlon 3200 venice 1gig ddr 9600pro
