  1. Please help, OFP (146 and 196) both crash at random intervals when I use my primary graphics card - 6600GT PCI Express. System Configuration: Asus P5AD2 1GB Kingston DDR2 P4 3.0GHz 6600GT PCX with 66.93 drivers When I take out the PCX card and use a ATI PCI card it works fine, any ideas??

OFP crashes with PCI Express video card

It's only OFP. I did however make some progress with the use of -nomap, however now it crashes randomally. I have tried to modify my config file for optium settings with no such luck. One moment I can launch battlefields, and start running, then BOOM - reboot, the next time, I might get BOOM reboot, just trying to launch battlefields.

OFP crashes with PCI Express video card

I'll try the fast write settings tonight, as for heat I have a 500W 24PIN ANTEC powersupply, usually I'm around 35C for a system temp

OFP crashes with PCI Express video card

Not using -nomap, the game it self loads fine, and I can start playing any of the maps, it will randomally reboot however. Unfortunatley with PCI-X there is no apparture settings to configure. I'm not sure it's drivers as I have a pci card that I used as an experiment with same drivers and it plays fine, however lousy graphics as the card is only a 64MB PCI card :-(

Thanks, tried 70.90 and 66.93's still no luck. I have even tried other various settings in OFP such as disabling HWT&L any other suggestions would be great Mike
  9. Please Help, I have been running Flash Point and Resistance for like ever on my old machine, since then I have built a gaming machine, and now OFP and Res loads but goes at first to a black screen then to an all green or yellow screen, sound is fine - you can hear it it just doesn't display properly: Â Now here is the kicker, if I remove my GeForce 4 4600 or Radeon 9700 and replace it with my old GeForce 3 ti500 it works fine. Â The only way I can get it to work is if I remove most of my addons. System Specs: MSI KT4 Ultra PC3500 DDR 400 Memory Athlon XP2100 VIA 4.43 Drivers Radeon 9700 2.4 catalyst drivers for the ati card (this is my card) 40.72 Nvidia Drivers (used with friends GeForce 4 TI4600) (yes I removed the ati card and all drivers when then used the nvidia card) AGP apature is set to 32mb - only way I can get past o.pbo memory issue Essentially the only thing I change is the video card, I have 768MB of addons - the Geforce 3 handles it fine, the other two 128MB video cards won't load unless I remove 1/2 the addons - any ideas??

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

well interesting news, i tried the 30.82 nvidia drivers - the gefroce 4 now works with all the addons - I tried the 41.73 and had no luck so figured what the heck - try older drivers. Unfortunately with the 9700, there are no older drivers so I'm still in the same boat with that card - i can only run 320MB of addons

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

i'm not sure it's with the 9700 driver, the geforce 4 has the same issues, only when I use the geforce 3 do I get things to work - with out changing other settings - I have yet to get the 9700 or geforce 4 to work with more that about 320MB of addons

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

ok - I increased my paging file to min 1536 and max 2048, same resluts - no start menu etc with gf4 but works fine with gf3

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

agreed- I use to have my agp aparture size set to 128 - i lowered it to 64 to get the gf4 and 9700 to work - I have tried it with it set at 4, 8, 32 and 64 if I go higher the 9700 and gf4 throw me a can't memory map o.pbo problem

Some additional background - I am a devloper and a system engineer, If there was a memory leak - I'd like to know more about that thread - hopefully that would be something BIS could fix?

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

bn880 - yep - only factor so far that seems to make a difference is the addons folder - that's why i posted after searching hi and low avonlady - yep tried all the fixes for the green screen - no luck

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

the 9700 works fine (when I strip out 1/2 the addons) - i have tried the beta drivers and dx9 rc0 still no luck with 768mb of addons - same with the gf4 card

Too many addons? can't load with 128mb video card

That is what I thought at first - but it's the only thing I change even the video drivers remain the same, and I just swap the video card - one moment (gf3) loads the next moment (gf4) it loads but won't seem to display properly - just get a black screen for a long time then it goes solid green, then to some random shapes with the typical ofp colors - all the while I can hear the music fine in the background, and if I move the mouse I can hear the clicking when I mouse over the different options that should be availale - - only when I remove some of the addons then does the gf4 work - it's odd as heck.
