Rambo is based on me I dont use arrows to blow up tanks, I use C4 attached to darts, more effective that way!

What league / tournament sites are left? I know STG is setting up a C&H tournament called Last Stand http://stgclan.eu/forum/indexEN.php and #DK# hosting a tournament on the "Warfare map" http://www.dragon-knights.info/forum/. We got IC ArmA running and AtoW but is there any for Clans out there? ECL is taking a break and Gamers Club isnt running their show anymore or??! The reason why is im thinking of creating a little place where teams can play vs eachother, you could call it a league but it would mostly just consist of forums. There could be 2 divisions created, one for CTF and one for C&H. Teams would be allowed to play in both. I know there are some clans out there playing on public servers but I havnt seen them in any leagues. Could this be done? Realistic gaming is what I call a balance of commen sense. You cant make a map by randomly placing buildings in the desert and expect people to enjoy it. You cant place 4 M1A1s with 60s respawn time on a small C&H map because it ruins the gameplay for the rest of the players. Ive seen alot of leagues and they all have the same common denominator. They are the work of one persons thought rather than copying a working style and use it. For players to enjoy a good map it has to be simple, easy to play yet give the challenge of a difficult task. Teams want 3 things in this game. They want a list of vehicles and weapons avalible for them to use, a map showing which 3 objectives they have to take and a date when the battle will take place. OFP and ArmA never achived a PvP professional gaming level. If you look at other games theres 25.000$ price money for the winners and the quality of the gaming is top notch in general. Only decent attempt to get there was OnlineWarfare who had a price money set to 100£ for the winners aswell as real "Dog Tags" for the players in the team. However, this was at the very end of OFP and it was just hard to get 8 teams who could finish a tournament. This can be done again but requires too much work so why not go for the playing to begin with?.

Cool got it now! I got a question, at the moment you need to stay inside the zone to have it and once you leave it goes back. Im wondering which file and line should i change to dont force it to go back. Couldnt find any settings in readme to change EDIT: Problem solved

I just want to say that ArmA player settings makes the game really hard to get used too. in OFP you can in a month learn to master the basic levels of the game. In ArmA it takes a year because its so much harder. It has to do with everything from the controlls to the gamestyle itself being "slow". -

My teammates just teamkill me So I have to switch sides and play against them instead! As for more professional gameplay its like guerilla said, there is none. Only few leagues and clans are able to put up with a good fight. -

Currently started playing ArmA again and noticed that the aiming is different. After some testing I found out that the mouse has is accelerated which makes me miss my targets I got a logitec mx518 and setpoint software, ive turned the acc off in setpoint but it stays the same in arma! Please help me! I either move my aim too much or too little when trying to shoot a enemy!

The floating zone is set all the way to the left. Messing around with setpoint and windows mouse settings now.

Sad part is, people have complained and thrown so much shit at bis so when a group of guys acually try to post and give them good feedback they just dont have the time nor intrest to sit and read about "how they failed". The PvP gaming in ArmA is poor for various reasons. Myself i solved this by switching game.

About the server Bandwidth. I did alot of testing in OFP:R on a server where we played 36 players on CTF maps such as St.P and early Riverbattle versions. The truth is that an normal server dosnt use more than 2-3Mbit/s going out of the server. (check Monitor 1) And 2-3 Mbit/s is when you have 30-40 players with full fights and people getting killed all over the place. What is important is the CPU and RAM combined with a good value for the MaxMsgSend. The MMS is really hard to set. Problems like ai desyncing occur when people are playing maps with loads of scripting that are being run on th server because MMS is set to handle that much. If it was lowerd less information would be send and the information like the Ais movement would be send without desync. Again this could be bad because if the server would have to send out alot of information then it would create lag because it can only send out 512 MMS each cycle. (This is why its hard to see a difference because either way you will end up with lag). So if your running alot of scripts i would say high MMS, if your running few scripts but has alot of ais on the map. Go for a lower on. I think 1024 was used in the Resitance days for the MMS, as for the bandwith, like i said. Any bandwidth above 5Mbit/s should be fine. Ofcourse this is just what I think and have experienced a very long time ago but hopefully it could be to some help, even today. //Cain

I would like to see a team put together to work on a mod which goal was to correct and fix the bugs that have been reported in. Things such as replacing the hit point system, the control of the helicopters, new sounds, adding new weapons, some new soldiers, different tanks (T-80 etc.) and all this with these implanted systems. Maybe even Low plants could be implanted as an option but the point is that there are some big problems that are easy fixed if people just started to communicate. This community basically made 99% of stuff that were used in OFP. BIS just gave out their engine, the rest was done by add-on and mission makers. This community is like an angry mob trying to bring down the king, and I time it´s we do it. We can moan all we want but things seem to be the same but the fact remains. If we want to have our sweet game, we have to do it ourselves. When everyone are using the same basic mods, multiplayer will become a lot easier when it comes to finding good MP servers and hopefully new leagues will open their doors. I know it’s easy for me to say this because I really don’t have any experience in mod making but I am sure that with all the brains we have on this forum, it would just be a matter of a couple of months. I really do enjoy the first couple of minutes in ArmA but then something tiny makes me quit. Its sad, very sad.

This problem can be solved by just looking at each servers MOTD. Most server admins have their server settings displayed there and often people want to know if they have 3rd view or the crosshair option on/off. After a couple of days in ArmA you should soon learn what server uses what settings because most active gameplay online are on the same servers. And guys, dont argue with idiots. They will just bring you down to their level and beat you on experience...

Ive seen that the next patch will contain anti cheat stuff, but i really hope they make run smoother too. Ive have numerious times now fired at targets from a close range (100m-200m) and seen how my G36s bust bullets dosnt hit him. The crosshair is right on him, I had 5s make the perfect shoot but there seems to be impossible to do it. Best thing to kill someone is just shooting next to him quickly and using many bullets. Singleshots aint possible it seems. I know this has alot to do with my frames but when standing still at a non moving target? Dont think so!
