  1. Drop it? I am sorry, but the point here was to help out a fellow player with his addon problem - not to feel sorry if my personal opinion about Six updater steps on someone's toes. If sickboy doesn't like being here, that is his choice. Well, I don't like to surf around DevHell (gives me shivers everytime I find myself there). So, each to his own I guess. I'm sure most members here are old enough to know the story about the opinions.. just accept it - don't try to boss around it.

    Has anyone else noticed that helicopter handling is changed with this beta? If I put Apache to auto-hover, it is next to impossible to maintain the desired altitude. Either it gains or loses altitude. Havent had this kind of problem previously. Also, when the chopper is set to auto-hover, its nose keeps doing this small but very noticeable "swaying" motion (up/down). It stops doing that after I cancel auto-hover. The same kind of nose-swaying motion happens also when watching AI controlled helicopter flying.
  4. Danny, try Yoma's addon sync 2009. You can download it from here: http://dev-heaven.net/projects/list_files/yoma-addonsync2009 I had the same problem with Six updater. Just uninstall the fail program and move on the Yoma.
  5. Those trajectories are way off. You might want to check this site: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/missile/agm-114.htm Letting the pilot choose the hellfire firing mode (LOBL, LOAL Lo/Hi, LOAL Dir) is greatly needed. So two thumbs up if you are working on that!

    Got answer from Mandoble too. It is BIS beta problem (at least with the latest beta).
  8. Hey Mandoble, I am quoting Gabe Ruckus from OA-beta thread: "Explosives created via scripting commands aren't doing any damage with the latest beta client." Is this MMA or BIS problem? At the moment I can't get anything destroyed when using latest beta and MMA. :)

    I just noticed it in one mission, where you have to destroy tanks with Javelins. My Javelin did zero damage and so did my AI squad. I tested it with Editor too and same thing. I have normal Arma 2 and Steam OA. The only way I manage to set the game as Combined Operation (with addons and beta) is with the modified beta.cmd file. I tried one Arma2 launcher, but I can't get it to work as CO. (OA+addons+beta work ok though). My addons are basically ACE1.5, MMA, zeuAI, + some scenery enhancing addons (Landtex, lowgrass) and sound addon. Most likely the reason for Javelin problem is in addons, but I cba to try it without (can't stand Arma without ACE, can't fly without MMA).

    I have the same problem with Javelins. I can't get them to destory anything atm. Dunno if it is the latest beta or some addon messing it up. Too lazy to set up the game without my favourite addons. :D

    I have troubles in getting the mission started. I board the Blackhawk and wait for troops to get in. But when I start flying, I get the message that not all troops or crew members are aboard. Have tried this many times now, always the same thing. This is with the latest beta and ACE 1.5.

    Sounds like a great mission! I have been waiting for missions like this (air missions which let you choose from multiple planes/choppers). Will try it first thing when I get back home from work. Good job!
  13. I have the same problem. It started with 10.8 drivers and continuing with 10.9s. This is with ATI 4870X2. If you stare the ground in front of you for a few seconds, the textures shift from low LOD to high. This also happens with soldier body and face textures.

  16. Xeno, thanks for the info. Too bad they are hardcoded in. When MMA is active and your view centered the HUD gets a bit cluttered, but it is no biggie.

  18. Umm.. I guess that will remove the interface stuff around the screen - but what I mean is the original Apache/Cobra/etc HUD info. I just want to us Mando's Helmet HUD.

ULB (comes with Arma 2 OA) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSa0MNr0qPs In video, when he chooses "Command Fire" from Command menu, it tells Apache to fire Hellfire K-version and you guide it to target with your ULB laser. Works great if your Apache is high enough and terrain is not filled with mountains. The original problem was that when my Apache isn't hovering at high altitude, I can't get those hellfires to reach its target. My request for a new feature was either: 1. Add more options to ULB Command menu to select for example Command Fire LOAL Hi or Command Fire LOAL Lo or 2. After you lase the target with ULB you add something to Command menu, which will send the info about the target to my Apache. Where I can go to Remote mode, lock on to lased target and then fire the missile (which would use Hi/Lo feature, depending on the terrain ahead).
  22. Not exatcly. I will control Apache as pilot and my gunner is Ai. When I switch to ULB, I control that too. Every day single playing scenario. If you play Arma 2 OA campaign, there is a mission called "Open season". I think the whole idea can be fitted to that mission. Lots of mountains, AAA, controlling ULB etc.
  23. I am using MMA but only for one week, so bare with me please. I'm not trying to bust your balls here. :D I meant with the "module" that you have to activate something from command menu like I saw in one Arma 2 vanilla SP Scenarios (you storm the village with 4 men and you can lase the BRDM with laser designator and then there was "MMA..something" in command menu, after that call the airstrike). So I thought you have to do the same with ULB if you want to use Remote feature. Please, one more time.. step by step.. I have a SP mission with Apache and ULB. I lase the target with ULB.. then what (in hopes getting the hellfire in the air as you said it would)?
  24. OK m8, I'm not at home atm so I can't test this out, but I don't remember seeing MMA stuff in ULB command screen? Could be wrong though. So, if it is there, I can lase the target first with ULB -> Activate MMA module in command menu -> Switch back to Apache -> Set Remote mode and lock to target -> Fire away?
