Detect name of own missile and enemy targeted!??

hi! my prob: how do i detect the name and direction of the missile that I have fired? (_this select??) and how do i detect the name and type of the object that i am targeting? i know how to do the opposite stuff, like in those flarescripts where i request the info WHO has fired WHAT at ME... but this time i want to do it the other way around and request WHAT I have fired on WHO!!? thanx! -
why does the ai have the cockpit open in the first place, i'd ask?? (normally the cockpit starts CLOSED....)

well, i actually have finished a new version (1.11) including your changes in the .cpp to make the MW-1 work. you should push the slow bottom of our webmaster to make him upload it... colorchanger

well, nobody did ask me for any permission to use parts of the tornado in any mod like this... nor GAVE i any permission for doing so.. but thats just what i had expected! those thing were bound to happen.. which is why i won't make a hell of thing about it!!! it would be nice if they'd credit me... if they don't it wouldn't surprise me. colorchanger.

are you sure this really happens ONLY to the tornado and has nothing to do with the recent updates of ofp (1.85/1.90/1.91)? i wouldn't know why it should be unique to the tornado as theres nothing special done to it in those terms. i had this case when some people reported that something was wrong with the landing gear (e.g. no gear up action)... this is just a new feature of OFP which came with the (i think) 1.85: you can damage the landing gear now... it turned out that they slammed the airplane into the ground to heavy while starting/landing and broke the landing gear!! bye.

hi, all! the MW-1 prob is already adressed.. a bugfixed version is up on our site. -- just download the tornado again, i've not made an extra version number for it. (its really a new file!!! -- the AI using the tornado not correctly eg. diving in too deep or killing itself with bombs dropped from 5 metres away from the target or anything like that.. well i can't really change anything about that, i tried alot of settings with the bombs and turns out that you really have only 2 chances: 1 leave it as it is. this way the AI atleast hits the target (normally) 2 make the ai drop the bombs from further away but also WAY OFF the target (either too short or to far) ----- the rest is really up to BIS to improve their AIs skills. ----- the other things i'll look into and have a new ver. up in the next days. (it always depends on our webmaster) BRONCOS HUD.. i would have to sacrifice the other instruments in the cockpit, as some of them can only be build in once. my personal decision was to do it the way i've done it now. thanks to MILES TEG for giving me a new code for the MW-1 i'll try it out... KEEP ON POSTING! every bug found is one bug less for the next versions! colorchanger.

hi people! few things that are to be talked about.... 1. sorry to you kegetys! it should have been mentioned that the cockpit is made from your hawk one. i simply forgot to write it into the readme (as i did with that damn pilot.pbo ...) there is no REAL need to make a new cockpit any time, i changed in a number of ways to make it tornadoish. i used for my amx, and it was there, quite simply. saved a lot of time. sorry for not mentioning it. will do that asap. 2. eviscerators model.. you havn't been informed? ok sorry to that also. i've taken another model cause this one is just better that the one you supplied, with which I DONT WANT TO SPEAK AGAINST YOU, ok?!!! yours is also good, and if i wouldn't have found this one by chance i would have taken yours. this model is better, so i took that one. nothing to do with who gets credit or anything. nothing. 3. folding wings: i had done this in an earlier version, and if you look at the fotos of the old one you'll see that with folded wings there are no weapon on them, also! the weapons and der hardpoint won't move with the wing and hang in the air. the flashpoint engine doesn't support this (or atleast oxygenlight doesnt maybe later or so don't know) this is the reason the release version has no folding wings! they are easy to do, but a bit pointless, apart from the fun to see the wings go forward and backward bye. colorchanger. -
ah, ok. can helicopters carry weapon proxies? i hope yes. if it works like on planes you should get those sidies glued onto it. had problems with some bombs too. didn't want to appear under the plane. but only one sort of bomb, all others worked. fixed itself, don't know how. so, i can't help you. very sorry. keep on trying!

just to add my 0,02euro to it..... i don't think it offers much help to encrypt the .p3d as mostly those aren't the ones which are used (...stolen) by those b***ards. we at G8 had this with VIT stealing at first scorpio's F-16 and now my AMX. he just smashed some BADLY made textures scanned from some magazine onto the models and deleted the copyright notice in the config.cpp. he didn't change anything besides that, the class names and even the file name of the .pbo remained original so his 'WORK' even overwrote scorpios and mines. btw THE AMX DOESNT NOT NOT NOT LOOK AT ALL LIKE A KFIR. or :/ or i used the hawk as template for my amx. just to politically correct here. so the problem at least at the moment where access to oxygen is limited are not people who steal and f*ckup our models. (my opinion is to not release oxygen to the general public anyway. but thats ----> another thread and has sufficently been discussed.) i will release my new models, filebank or not. color.
