Thought id run this up to help noobs with online OFP 1st off you need to get 'The Eye' which will let u surf for games to play on. Go to 'waiting for players' tab and scroll though and join a server with a low ping and no PL (packet loss) If it says 'Force Conection' it means the game has started and you will have to wait for the next map. 1/ When u do get onto a server u need to pick a side to play either EAST or WEST . Once you pick your side hit 'START' so it changes your icon to green. The game wont be able to start unless everyones name is green and there is no one in the 'Player Pool' Another pointer is if u are in the top slot u are responsible for turning off the AI players. To do this hit 'DISABLE ALL' dont forget or this will cause lag on the server and piss people off as u have to restart to get rid of them 2/ The next stage is to pick the role of player you want to be, once u move over u are ready to go. 3/ Third stage is the mission briefing..it may take a while to get here cus of map loading so be patince. Once it does load and u are ready hit 'IM READY' again this changes your name to green so the game can go ahead. All players names must be green before the game starts. Please stay at your PC and dont dander off when the game starting up, because it holds others back waiting on u. Make your selections quickly and click the buttons for when u are ready so the games starts fast with no hassle admin codes are as follows (ADMIN) #vote admin (name) << gets u admin #mission << goes onto next map #missions << when u are admin lets u select missions #restart << lets u restart game #kick (name) << to kick people all the above can be down if there is no admin but with everyone voting ie: #vote missions #vote mission #vote kick (name) #vote restart (Pointers) the boxes down the bottom show your ping and peoples statis and will also let u see who is the admin RED = Not ready/lagged out/or if its on the briefing screen they are still loading YELLOW= made selection but havent hit 'im ready or start' GREEN= ready to go The online games varie for CTF (re-spawns) - Co-Op (u only get 1 life) and every man for himself (re-spawns) hope that helps everyone

wouldnt be great to join a server thats playing a war game 24/7 , no map restarts, just 1 big island and when u spawn u can end up anywhere in the map depending on the role u picked for yourself ie sniper - inserted close to enemy postion attack heli - just back from the front lines and so on..u get the idea would have to have some flaws/bugs sorted though like making u wait for 2 other people if u wanted to be a tank or 2 for heli etc what u think? possible? or me just dreaming

i always thought the balance lay with america having the better technoligy to combat the soviet numbers if so....should multiplay games have more units for the soviets and reduce their weapons so they dont have the likes of AT etc just a thought

instead of just the commander seeing who's in a tank/heli i think it would be better if everyone could Reason for this is; imange you are pinned down from fire from a house, wouldnt it be great to call in a AH-64 to wipe the place out, our even a tank to lay down some HEAT rounds to clear your advance A lot of the times people in vechiles do there own thing (which i dont mind at all) but just think it would be more realistic and fun if u had support when u needed it

is it worth taking pot shots at them with rifles? after trying to do a rambo by shooting at a Hind with a M-60 for ages i didnt seem to do any damage at all i know about using LAW's and all but its sometimes hard to when theres none about although i did have some sucess shooting down a OH-58 with 50cal of a jeep once in multiplayer

1/ your ping would be a bit higher, giving lpb's and advantage over u , but would still be playable 2/yes u would. only thing is u would have to rejoin the server and wait for next map if u miss it 3/anything from 10mins to 30mins and from 2people up to 32ish 4/nope, they all side together to pick on noobs the meanies

what im talking about is just being able to call in support when u need them. its very hard to even know if 1 of your team is in a vechile, let alone get help from them

they gotta make changes for ofp multiplayer or its gonna die big time spent 1/2 just trying to get a game there with no luck at all and then got 1 that was near ready to go and some muppet in a clan wouldnt hit start to go cus he was waiting on his mat holding up 20 people and there was nothing we could do and also why do all the clan peeps side on the same team? they afarid to play some 1 there own skill or just like picking on noobs, and dont say its so they can pratice tatics and all..sorta ruins the game getting wiped out over and over
