they don't seem to bother with the dead bodies, i wonder what the hide body function's for, i mean they can walk right on top of the dead bodies and still have their guns at their backs. but i think the AI in OFP is a lot better than most other games
-
since OFP has large (huge! maps, i think i will be more fun if it support more people like 100, this way you can really divide people into special positions like flying CAS on choppers and stuff like that w/o getting your main team to become too small
-
i never played online before(cause my dsl company ran out of business and i am back to dialup! )anyway, i thought the game has built in voice chat, doesn't it?
-
i use the iron sight most of the time unless the enemy is like right in front of me, cause the iron sight will block a lot of the view and you won't be able to see to much

Hey........what'd you think of the mission hmmwv?
charles replied to Aculaud's topic in OPF MISSIONS
it will be nice if this is a rampage mission like the last mission in the campaign, in stead of a humvee, get a armed tank and kill every thing in sight....that will be fun -
it will be much more interesting if there are heading to a strip club in stead of a bar
-
there's no way you can sucess in this mission even you have killed everything, you will still get all the crosses. I played it couple times that i was able to destroy all the tanks and choppers, and there's a way to do it. first you have to temporary retreat to somewhere which the tanks won't be able to see you(somewhere far away), stay there and wait till they overrun the base and settle down(usually they will let their guard down and stop moving around after they haven't seen an enemy for a while) now, you order the other vulcan to stay at the spot and you can move out slowly(i usually get the gunner position and let the AI be the driver) just move and stop all the time and zoom in max with the gun sight, it's kind of like sniping. this way i managed to destroy the bmps and disable the tanks, sometimes when i am lucky, i even disable the tanks just enough that the crews inside will get out and i can steal their tanks. one thing to watch out is the MI24s when you hear choppers, start looking up the sky. one more thing, you do need lots of ammo to disable a tank, so just keep on shooting for like 10, 20 second and stop to take a look if it's still alive, if you run out of ammo go back to the other vulcan which is parked in the safe spot and take over it

how about just use the redfield zoom scope that was used on M21? some of the original M40s had that scope on. I think it will be much easier to use and create.
-
at the begining of the mission, i just play with the fire, then the CO came, after that i just hid under the bush next to house(the one next to the vulcan) when the 2 russkies come down the road, just throw all the lead to them and they usually won't have a clue what hit them, after that, go up to the M2 by the lighthouse and shoot the 2 Hinds that are gonna fly by, i managed to kill a bunch of guys inside the choppers before....I think those boats are supposed to be friendlys...aren't they? btw those star shells are fun...
-
there were a couple times that when i was in a tank (M1 or T80) i shot the Hinds with the HE shell of the main gun and it worked like magic! but this is more like luck than anything else
-
from what i heard of, the glass can stand up to 23mm rounds, but i think you shoot a couple of rounds to the same area, the glass's gonna give way
-
the light fifty with API rounds can penetrate 1.5 inch of steel, so it has no problem of disabling APCs/Trucks, but there's no way it can do anything with a MBT, otherwise they don't need that 120mm gun on M1A1 BTW, i think it would nice to have a REAL sniper rifle in stead of that semi-auto M21, M40A1 will be a nice once

i once used the M2 .50cal to knock down a Hind, but it really took a while. On the Vulcan mission, i took the Stinger and did knock down a chopper (i think it was a Mi-8 though)
