I've noticed a problem that while playing the 2.22 version sometimes cleared targets doesn't turn green on the map and the counter in the status menu doesn't count. Anyone else that has this same problem? EDIT! No real problem, This only occured when running the game without having a dedicated server. My bad.

1.09 beta patch troubleshooting thread.
boopidoo replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Has the fog issue really been fixed? After updating to 1.09 and also updating to the latest Nvidia drivers (169.21) I seem to have the xakt same problem with visibility. I have a Nvidia 8800 GTS with 640Mb. Visibility is set to about 3,5km but objects at more then 1km are shrouded in fog. Flying must be done at really low altitude in able to see anything and preferably slow to avoid CFIT. Is there some parameter I need to set either in game or manually on my Nvidia card to fix this. The changelog does state that fog now renders correctly with DX10-cards but I'm not so sure. EDIT EDIT EDIT! The problem was mostly because of the user = me. As oChaos.DNJ stated I was running domination were the visibility was decreased as a default value which had to be increased manually. I still think the fog is too much but I guess it does render accordingly DX10 standards now I guess since I really doesn't have anything to compare with. Anyway I now can see the whole island at altitude which I couldn't before. -
But could it work if the one using the LD wasn't from RACS? For example a specialist borrowed from the US Forces? So if I would change "SoldierGSniper" with "SoldierWSniper" that soldier could then use the LD or do I have to change the pilot too?

@_Xeno_ I just need to say that I truly love your mission and appreciate the help you give us here at this forum. I mostly play the the original version so that we can be in the same group and we're mostly just 2-4 persons so it's hard to fill up all the nescessary slots. Could you tell me how I can modify the original 2.22 version so that we can add artillery and rescue and maybe also engineering functions to the group?

Hi there! I've never actually tried to use the laser guided bombs until yesterday but I never got it to work. I was playing as team leader in the 2.22 version (not AI) and were flying the aircraft. A sniper in my group had a laser marker and lased the target (so that he could see the diamond in the laser designator). However, I never saw any kind of indicator in the aircraft HUD of the lased target. I probably did something wrong but I have no idea what. Can someone help me? This function isn't de-activated in domination right?

This is not true, the M107 can't just punch a hole in 10mm armor. Actually it can't hit anything without ammunition. And armor piercing incendiary is just one of several .50 cal ammuntion types available. .50 cal ammuntion So depending on what ammunition you use the results will vary. I guess BIS choose not to use the armor piercing ammuntion with the M107. This after all is much more realistic then having some kind of super ammunition that does everything.

Is it only me that see similarities with Saudi Arabia and Iraq? SA was really underpowered militarily against Iraq in the early 90's (before the war).

The last versions work great. I played last evening the AI-version and attacked successfully both side missions and main targets. First I flew myself and my AI group to the target area with a BH. Unfortunately half of the group (myself included) perished quite quickly after insertion by a nasty havoc. After this I recruited more AI and parachuted for attack on the target from another direction. This meant I could have AI attack from two directions which was really successful. I cleared Rahmadi (main target + side target) in less then 30 min by myself and some AI. By not having a respawn point close by (because of parajump insertion) I ran out of ammo and had to let a poor enemy soldier wander in close before taking him out and using his weapons. Tons of fun, thanks! Also, I prefer playing RACS in this mission over US. It does make a little difference.

Awesome, thanks! This will do A LOT for us!

Why not be able to set it on different setting like AKM said? Maybe three settings for 600, 800 and 1200? Other guns have this possibility in the game so why not the FN-MAG? This could also replicate the behavior of a low setting on long angagements and hing on close ones etc.

I totally love this mission. It is great even when playing solo. However I usually play only for 1-2 hours and the cities are a little hard to take on yourself but that's ok. I also love the parajump feature but when playing solo or only 2-3 ppl it would be better if this were available from start on the base. This because it takes a little too long for just 1-2 ppl to clear a city and to be ablöe to use this feature. The way I usually play it is just for 1-2 ppl and we have tons of fun just taking on the smaller side missions. Being able to use the parajump for this would enhance the experience even more.

I was eally hooked on Jagged Alliance 2 and really loved the way you managed resources to make your little squad of mercenaries improve weaponry and skills. Could this somehow be implemented using a campaign or MPmission in ArmA. I'm thinking something like Domination but on a much larger scale with the possibility to save/load your progress but with similiar objectives. After each successful mission you complete your bank account grows and you can hire a new mercenary to cover your losses and/or hire a chopperpilot etc. Since the save/load feature would be there the respawning wouldn't be neccessary. While in a team you could also change between all team members. What do you think, would this be doable in ArmA?

I don't understand. I have a Saitek X52 Pro with the following settings: Slider 1+ = Zoom In Slider 1- = Zoom Out I hace the problem described above. If I adjust the zoom setting (which I do whenever I'm in a vehicle) the optics view (except zoom scopes) are totaly messed up. What should I do? I want to be able to manually adjust the zoom setting.
