I recently installed Vista and I haven't had any real problems running ArmA. I do get some CTD's, but i was getting that in XP aswell I did notice a slight performance drop between playing ArmA on Vista compared to XP. But that setup you mentioned there is a beast and I dont think you should be worried about a performance drop!

I bought the TrackIR for flight simulators. But when I got ArmA, I thought I would give it a go in a FPS. I had my doubts, but it turned out to be freakin awesome. Keeping your gun pointed in the direction your moving but being able to peak to the left and right for enemies is the best thing ever!
