  1. I think seats are chosen based on the order they are assigned, you could try assigning a bunch of random units to cargo, then assignAsCargo & moveInCargo the seats you're after. If assign doesn't work, you could always moveInCargo some random units with the ones you want, then deleteVehicle them. AFAIK the co-pilot is the first one. As for the gunner seats, Murklor is right. :)
  2. Brilliant campaign, some of the best immersion I've seen in ArmA2 so far.
  3. Both of these are pretty much always up to date: @ACE Changelog @ACEX Changelog
  4. That's crazy  Will it be deployable / transportable?

    Kellu Island

Give Sickboy a chance, he's a busy man. :P Nice work on the update :)
  6. As an addition, with the latest beta (61974) I was trying to evac an AI squad that was under fire, all automatically switched to combat mode and took over 5 minutes to board the vehicle. Suggestion? Embark order = forced aware when less that 15 metres from the vehicle.
  7. Voted for danger & when under fire. If I order "find cover", I don't want them spending 30+ seconds moving to it, I want them there asap, and with bounding behavior this just won't happen. I guess switching to bounding after they found cover wouldn't be a bad thing, but taking their time moving to it is just gonna get them mowed down. Also, you could take a completely different look at it, danger in my opinion just means if you're not moving, stay in cover or concealment. Bounding overwatch should be something toggled by the squad leader, usable with any behavior excluding 'safe'.
  8. Try running an update for that preset through the web-interface. As far as I know, option 2 just repeats the last update, so it might not have picked up any new mods you added to the preset?

    Stargate Universe [SG:U]

Starting to lose faith in this series, especially if they don't at least add a little action, it's like a sci-fi soap opera at the moment. Problem is I can't stop watching. edit: Though the next ep doesn't air until April next year, so I have no idea why I just bumped this thread.
  10. Was about to post that one, mainly noticed it on the map.

    Ace 2 conversion offer

Come to think of it, you could probably completely automate it. ie.: get a list of classes, and the ACE2 alternative, kinda like the find & replace tool in notepad, then just batch all the replacements with one click. Could possibly even add an option to throw down some modules.
  12. This one can be solved by saying ready (0-1), it occurs when you switch to a unit with an existing waypoint, or your squad leader unit is given a waypoint seperate to the rest of the squad.
  13. ArmA2 jumped back into the XFire top 100 yesterday, for the first time since release month. I'm pretty sure that's thanks to the whole ACE2 dev team. :)
  14. Regarding the version mismatch beeps, I think that if the client version is higher than the server, it should just be completely ignored. Sure, it might cause problems between versions and weird unforseen bugs, but then the server admins might actually put some effort into updating faster. Perhaps just a globalChat message into the game when a player joins? Such as "Player x is using newer ACE2 version - x.xxx", then any admins present in a game would be instantly notified, since the majority of players on a server can't do anything about its version.
  15. A proxy to access your own computer? :o Try http://127.0.0.1:16333/, the little command prompt window that says Rails 2.3.5 needs to stay open in order for it to work.
  16. For those making a shortcut to the updater or setting up task scheduler, you need to set the Start In folder to Six-Updater, ie.: Shortcut: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Six-Updater\tools\ruby\bin\ruby.exe" -rubygems six-updater.rb Start In: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Six-Updater" And of course, run as admin if applicable :) Also, will be new beta patch be available through the updater, or is this not possible because of the inclusion of BattlEye?
  17. Yeh it's a pro little tool, like ArmA2's own Steam client. One suggestion: allow a command line param that automatically starts option 2 and closes when finished, that way we can have one click updating, or perhaps even completely automate the process using task scheduler. :)
  18. Took me 3 or 4 runs of the updater to get @ACE to download, kept saying "no updates found", other than that, all ran nicely. :) Cheers.
  19. You could always force the driver to die once the truck explodes? this addEventHandler ["killed", "truckDriver setDamage 1"]
  20. The interface was a little confusing at first, since there were so many options and all I wanted to was download / update some addons, but once I found the quickstart guide it was all pretty simple from there. The only step I skipped was number 2, since I didn't know what the 7z base files even were.
  21. Vista / Win7? Maybe it threw it in the VirtualStore...
  22. Regarding this tool, is it possible when downloading / updating to force or select a specific rSync mirror? Here in Australia, most (if not all) ISP's allocate monthly download limits on Internet connections, hence we regularly rely on locally hosted mirrors which don't count toward these quotas. While I'm at it, will this tool be available for other mod makers and designers to release their addons? This is a brilliant release / update method and could be made even better if a wide range of addons were available.
  23. Just gonna get this in nice and early... Any chance of an ACE2 port? =p
