    XP Pro Versus 2003 Server

    I can recommand windows 2008. Been using it on my new server for almost 2months now and its been runing great. Also 2008 caches more in ram like linux or somethink. Also have a windows 2003 enterprise warfare server that is fine but years ago i did have problems using windows 2003 web edition where game servers would crash

    Warfare RBT and WACO

    I rather see a crcti warfare version. For me crcti is alot better made and less laggy and i like the way you can respawn any building when you die and either access the build menu by runing up to a building or using the command center. Also has things like m113 and bmp support unit that you can rearm and heal at and buy wepons at which saves the hassle of having to buy a repair truck and ammo truck

    xr server

    Even with the xr server at 3.5ghz the cpu has a hardtime on warfare. Maps like warfare would really benifit from being able to use multi core which is somethink arma cant do. So even if 1..5 patch fixed jip lag there would prob be lag from the cpu maxing out and hiting 5fps. Berzerk run at 45fps with 64 players months ago when i tested on the qx server and warfare runs at 5fps with 32 players due to all the ai and units being built. If your ask me the ai group size per player is to high. Think its like 20 or somethink.... should be 12 max
  4. Im having issues geting xml to work on windows 2008. I heard that latist internet explorer blocks it on windows 2003 so im guessing its somethink to do with that. So far i disabled the Enhanced Security Config and windows firewall but still no luck. Anyone have any idears?

    3-Sided Warfare?

    I wouldnt bother with 3 sides cti unless it can be limited to 10 players per team or it just lag. 32 player warfare is laggy as it is

    Building a server need some input

    Arma doesnt support muti core so only uses 1core. 1core cpu would reach 100% 2cores would show 50% usage and quad core would show 25% usage.

  10. Just wondering if any one from bis can tell me what too many virtual memory blocks requested means? The XR Sahrani life server Keeps geting this message from 2 hours to 700min into game then the server would just freeze up but von would work then i check server desktop and i see that message.   11. Even when you disable custom files and squad xml pics uploading to server iv still seen hevay jip lag on the warfare server. And if you do #monitor 1 and wait till someone connects you will see the monitor status completely pause for 5secs from a player connecting to his connected. Dout they can fix this easily Needs to be a away that players can join server and download map without it afecting any of the players on server like other games. But yeah jip sucks so bad and even makes good servers look laggy. Not suprised alot of clans gave up on arma and gone to other games like cod4 or what ever

    Quad Core

    Try locking arma to 1core from task manager if you havent done already and see if you get better fps as arma is a single theaded game but yeah you should get a better video card for arma
  13. I just found the screenshots i took during that time i told nick about the server fps. XR did have 48 fps but it was on 26 players not 32 around 80min of map time and 48fps on 22 players with 370min map time so nick wasnt lieing he just got the info mixed up. http://img299.imageshack.us/img299....MG]
  14. Hey i wasnt saying it sucked. It was good for its time but you know aswell as me it can be bypassed by KFC and thats why its public. And it dont stop all pbo cheats. Theres one cheat pack that can easy bypass it without doing nothing at all
  15. I just noticed this post and im not being smart but i know for a fact i could join your server and bomb it to crap with you using dooacs and battleye. You really dont know what your talking about. Dooacs is old and outdated and if you want me to join your server and prove i can bypass it sometime then let me know. You will see how unsecure your server really is and open to pbo hacks. I done my reseach on all cheats and anti cheat stuff and i know for a fact 100% that dooacs is good as useless these days sence KFC got hold of the scripts from it when it was only released to trusted servers and thats the main reason doolittle has now made dooacs public for anyone to use. Maybe it catch a few noobs but not cheaters who know the info how to bypass it Eveeyone knows that signed files is the only way to stop pbo hacks and seems your the only one that dont sence you rely on dooacs instead of using signed files

To be honest i mainly tested battleye on my q6600 server months ago and we did see alot of more desync when players would join but i aint dont no real testing sence 1.14 came out on the qx9650 server What i do is monitor the current server fps now and jip lag then tomorrow i will enable battleye and do the same test and watch out for any problems and i post the results here

    Dunno if you seen this but hears a quote from sl forums i posted Main things id like to see added is illegal jobs which would offer the civ more money because theres a risk of geting caught and arested and alot of people wanna see more civ jobs added. The other thing id like to see is that cops can only arest someone if they got there hands up or they stuned because it sucks geting arested from other side of wall and yeserday i stuned a cop and had him hostage and took his g36 but i couldnt pick up his handgun as already hand one so he picked it up while paying on the ground and arested me even tho it had no ammo. Which i wasnt happy about because u shouldnt be able to get arested if u got a gun to someone :P They would need to wait for armed backup. Also when you stun someone and there wepons drop the ammo disapears. Is this a bug?

    Evo is a waste of time imo. you gotta spend whole day on it just to finish the map. Dont know how people can put up with it day after day. Id rather play maps that last 30min to 3hours max so you aint playing the same map all day like evo. Im disapointed the way arma has turned out compeared to ofp. Not much choose of maps. 90% is just coop
  21. He already knows about them. There listed on a well known cheat site. Doo acs which used to be called dacs was kept private and only released to centain people. they got hold of the scripts from that cheat by captureing the packets server sent to clients from that dacs so he made it pubic. It wont stop cheaters. Maybe some noob cheaters but thats it. It was good anticheat tool for its time but not much use vs cheaters now. Me and squadserver have our own way of detecting and dealing with cheaters.

    I did set up my qx9650 @ 3.5ghz for berzerk which run really good with 50 to 64 players but wasnt geting used daily so switched it to run sahrani life on 1.12 beta. http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/635/xrfps52playersnr3.jpg was server fps when i tested server on berzerk. with 50+ players.
