Gunman kills at least 21 at Virginia Tech

Will probably even rise, seeing how much distance was inbetween the 2 sites. The VT campus is immense, it will take sometime to perform the search. Can't imagine he only stopped at those 2 sites... There is a strong possibility that he planned the shootings because he murdered his girlfriend first and then went to a building that was too far from the building he murdered his girlfriend in to make it a random choice.

Ask a moderator about the forum and the rules

The moderators should make each forum rules link bold. As you know, making something bold helps it stand out. I have noticed that the forum rules link in ArmA-General is bold but the forum rules link in Off-Topic isn't bold. OFP-Addons & Mods:Complete forum rules link isn't bold either. I suggest the mods check the forum rules links to see if they are bold or not and make the non-bold links bold. I didn't even know about those links just until a few minutes ago. I'm using Firefox.

Didn't know about another variant. So, your answer trumps mine then since it is technically wrong.

    BI Forum Reconnaissance Game

It reminds of the AMX-13 series of light tanks. However, after some research (internet), that tank looks like the AMX-50. So, my guess is the AMX-50.

    Should Russia fear NATO expansion?

I will pick the last post I disagree with due to too many long posts and i'm somewhat lost........and seriously, ot For starters, Germany was basically "split" before the formation of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG). For example, in the Soviet occupation zone, the Socialist Unity Party (Communists...shock) was the political party but, in the Western occupation zone(s), the Social Democrats and the Christian Democrats more or less were "fighting" for political power. The Western occupation zones were focused on economic revitalization through "the industry" while the Eastern zone wasn't. I could go on and on about this. The point is that the Soviet Union had a hand in the formation of the FRG due to their actions. The Warsaw Pact was created after West Germany joined NATO (1955). NATO was in existence for a few years by then. The Soviet Union even tried to join it a year before West Germany joined. Many, if not all, of the Warsaw Pact nations had bilateral treaties with the Soviet Union before the Warsaw Pact was even formed for some years. So, let me ask you this, why was the Warsaw Pact formed? *cough* diplomacy, status, and legitimization *cough* You are treading a thin line, guy.

    The Average American?

If the educational system in the US of A is changed because of religious influence and therefore the level of knowledge of the american people will degrade to some religious faith-stuff , away from fact knowledge modern science can provide, IT IS a troubling developement as it certainly will not make the people of the USA smarter. Quite the contrary would be the case. Noone´s bashing religion here. You´re going furore just for the like of going furore ? The issue of grade inflation is way more important than religious influence in the decentralized American public school system. More and more students are getting excellent grades but standardized test scores aren't match those grades. Is there religious influence in the school system(s)? Honestly, I don't know because I didn't see it while I was attending public school. In Biology, I was thought evolution and that was it. I want to is different from actual doing it. Check my previous post about the bashing. Hey, I'm a calm guy for the most part! I don't have a problem with discussing religion. However, for example, when Supah's link basically concludes that people with faith are dolts, I have a problem. Or, when Denior calls 50% of the American population "ignorant and dangerous fundamentalists" due to not supporting the theory of evolution of man and there should be much less religion, I have a problem. Education doesn't just revolve around the issue of evolution and creationism. Sorry for the bold.

    The Average American?

Re-read Denior's post and come back to me. If you didn't know, Denior has somewhat a thing against religion. Also, click the link in Supah's post.

    The Average American?

Whats up with bashing people's faith now? Enough, please. Anyway, the clip was meant to be taken as humor. There is no need for a deep analysis of the american public education system, which is not uniform and varies between the districts, and the retarded argument that religion (faith) makes you dumb or something. I got my laugh and moved on. However, some people want to be like that reporter who asked the 300 director if President Bush is Leonidas or Xeres and the movie has nothing to do with him.

College Life goin down the tubes?

Ralph and Ironsight is right on this issue. Study, do your assignments, and participate in class would at least help you get decent grades. Since you got a 3.4 last semester, you could be in a slump and it isn't the end of the world. Or, maybe you cannot handle all those classes in those two days.

    Should Russia fear NATO expansion?

NATO isn't involved in the attempt to establish a radar base for the "shield" in the Czech Republic. Its a US-Czech deal. The United States has a large military budget due to the fact that its military is technological advance compared to many countries including Russia. Also, the military is stationed all over the world. Half of the budget is spent on operations, maintenance, and personnel alone. Furthermore, and importantly, only about 3.7% of its GDP in 2006 (est.) was used for the military budget. That is way lower than Saudi Arabia, Israel, and many other countries. More Nukes? No. In fact, Russia has way more active and inactive nuclear warheads than the United States. Russia knows it can nuclear the World 5 times over while the United States could do it 3 times. The United States doesn't have the largest military in the world. In fact, if you count reserve troops with active troops, Russia has a larger military than the United States. China has the largest military in the world.

    Should Russia fear NATO expansion?

Russia isn't the "enemy" of NATO. If Russia was the "enemy" of NATO, the NATO-Russia Council wouldn't exist. The United States military would be larger. Etc., etc., and etc. Russia shouldn't fear NATO but might be angry that they are losing their buffer states. However, I really can't see NATO invading Russia because everybody knows that would suicide since they got nuclear arms and what not. Additionally, it would be out of character for NATO. Unless, Russia attacks a member state.........

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

If I am not mistaken, their primary objective was to tie down americans in Korea and grind them down with their superior numbers. What? According to James Matray, professor of history at New Mexico State University, and me, Il Sung was able to gain the support of major Communist powers because he assured them that the North Koreans would take over South Korea before American forces could join the fight. Il Sung, like Rhee, wanted to unite Korea but under his system of rule. In fact, the United States hindered Rhee from invading the North by making the South Korea military a defensive one.

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

Sorry, bossman, for the PG/PG-13 language. I just don't like it when people try to compare the American military, your nation's military and mine, to the Third Reich. It will not happen, again. I think..... And? The United States had a mutual defense agreement with South Korea. In addition, and this might be a shock to you, American forces were overstretched. The best choice was to raise and train a South Korean military that was defensive in nature. The American did that and, in fact, the Korean Military Advisory Group was last American force in Korea before the Korean War. The United States couldn't be everywhere. Anyway, Stalin and his communist buddies knew that America would intervene if a Korean War happened and hoped North Korea would roll over South Korea before America came to South Korea's assistance. Remember, Kim Il Sung had to gain the support of Mao and Stalin for the invasion of the South.

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

I take a break from this thread and someone posts a vile post comparing the President of the United States and the American military to the Third Reich. Honestly, Baff1, are you stupid or something? Or, are you trying to troll? Duke do not feed him no more because his comparison is straight bullshit. I do not like being blunt but I think Buff1 has crossed the line. Anyway, to get back on-topic, it seems Ron Paul might run for the Republican nomination for the Presidency since he filed papers for a exploratory committee. I don't think he we win the nomination because he is too libertarian for his party. Furthermore, he is not apart of the Republican establishment. However, if he ran has an independent, he might be Ross Perot v2 which is bad news for the Republicans and good news for the Democrats.

Ditto. Same here. Puzzled as to why nobody else is having this problem? I suggest you uninstall the pack like I did to fix the problem. Apparently, the problem wasn't fixed. Anyway, good job TB and others.

    "iPhone" unveiled today...

Not me after I fooled around with my mother's iPod. What a pain in the ass to use. Anyway, the advertisement campaign, not the features, will sell the iPhone just like the iPod.

    FFUR 2007

I'm having the same problem too with the white "things" appearing everywhere. I have found those "things" on Malden, Everon, and Kolgujev. However, I could not find them during a flight over Nogova and the Desert Island. I have the extra pack installed in the FFUR 2007 folder. The islands are the original ones and not AEC's ones. Maybe there is something wrong in extra pack? Thank you.

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

I really don't think there would be violent demonstrations. The elected officials who voted to replace "god" with "allah" would likely be voted out of office and the new officials will replace "allah" with "god."
