The Labour Party in the UK is having major problems with the spending scandal, various cabinet resignations, and etc. So, it isn't suprising that the Conservatives have gained the upper hand in that country. The Republicans here might win the New Jersey governorship because Corzine is unpopular.

The United States government did not support the pIRA. In fact, back in the 1980s, the FBI set up a task force to combat the shipment of arms to the pIRA from the United States by private American citizens. I think you got Libya confused with the United States.

Yes, the UN came along and took the aquifers away from the Arabs and gave them to... um... the Arabs. Â Duh. What's your problem with that, besides the fact that it was not the UN's to give away in the first place? So was a lot of the Arab settlement. Â So what? Â Again, what's your problem with that, besides the fact that it was not the UN's to give away in the first place? I have no problems. You complained that Israel got the rich coastal land. I countered by stating that the Arabs got the major aquifers. The Arabs got the major aquifers because that was where a lot of Arabs lived at. The Jews got the coastal land because that was where a lot of the Jews lived at. The UN was trying to be fair.
-
And the Arabs got the major aquifers. A lot of the Jewish settlement were on the rich coastal plain. Majority of the land given to the Jews was a desert. The Negev Desert was nomad territory. And if the Arabs thought they could beat the Jews, then there wouldn't be this issue.
-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki....son.png The majority of land partitioned to the Jews was the Negev Desert. How many Arabs lived in the Negev Desert? Â The rest of the land had large Jewish concentrations. And, it wouldn't of been governed by a Jewish minority. It was 55-45. Nah, I only care that it was once Hellenistic land.

There are state and local taxes too. The Wikipedia article only talks about what the Federal Government takes from what you earn. State and local taxes varies by state and locality.

So? I don't see your point. Are you saying that just because they won a war, the land is theirs to own? A thousand years ago, the land was considered Jewish land. Throughout out the years, spanning a lot of centuries, Palestine has been ruled by various Empires including the Romans and Persians. The Arabs came along and conquered Palestine just like other peoples before them. What happened isn't new. And, yes, I do they, the Israelis, own that land they conquered in 1948.
-
The fact is that the Arabs thought they could defeat the Jews back in the late 1940s and they massively failed. If the 1948 Arab-Israeli War didn't happened, Jewish land would had been a lot smaller. However, the Arabs underestimated them and they paid dearly. BS. Hamas has specifically targeted civilians with suicide bombers.

Since negociations led nowhere and it seems out of question to send a peace keeping force on Israelian soil, this might be quite effective. I boycott Palestinian products because of Hamas and the various terror organizations within the Palestinian terrorities. Wait! Do they even export anything excluding terrorism?
-
Hamas has used tunnels to smuggle weapons and people. Furthermore, they had used tunnels to attack Israelis positions before. For example, they used a tunnel when they abducted Gilad Shalit. The tunnel was dug on Palestinian land and crossed over into Israel. Like what? Send Hamas a note asking if they can please stop making the tunnel? During the raid, a Hamas militant was killed. Not some ordinary Palestinian. And? Israel needed a plan if the ceasefire ended. They were just being prepared.
-
Mr. Morrison conveniently ignores the fact that Israel conducted the raid because they believed a tunnel was being dug near one of their fences. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/05/israelandthepalestinians So, Israel was supposed to sit on its ass while Hamas dug a tunnel near its border? Does Mr. Morrision remember the Gilad Schalit abduction? Hamas still has that guy. Mr. Morrison also fails to realize that Hamas didn't hold up to their end entirely. Or, does he ignore it? Before the November 6 raid, there were mortar and rocket attacks from Gaza. A lot of those attacks came from "anonymous" (unnamed) groups. Who would lose the most if they admitted it was them conducting those attacks? Is that not a violation of the cease fire? However, Mr. Morrison plays off those attacks as minimal because they didn't kill anyone. Then again, Mr. Morrison is a highly bias person. So, he would probably call me a puppet for the evil Zionist state of Israel.

Ah, I was in denial because I knew that Obama would probably win due to the high number of new registered voters that the Democratic machine signed up and the black vote in certain states (e.g., Virgina). I kept hope alive. Slim hope but still hope. Very cheesy that they (I believe MSNBC...one of those cable new channels) showed black people reactions ala after the reading of the OJ Simpson verdict.
-
you mean 4 years? Congressional races. And, I was dead wrong.
-
Nope to the first question and yeah to the second question. Obama spent millions of dollars to air a 30 min political commercial on every major network channel and some cable news channels simultaneously. The last time someone has done that was Ross Perot back in the early 90s.

There are more than three candidates for the presidency. -Baldwin (Constitution) -Barr (Libertarian) -McCain (Republican) -McKinney (Green) -Nader (Unaffiliated) -Obama (Democratic) McCain and Obama are the "main" candidates. The other four are "minor" candidates because they probably receive a low number of the popular vote and zero electoral votes combined. There are other "minor" candidates but those four are the major "minor" candidates for the Presidency of the United States.
