agreed for now but there are other games that take advantage of them...until they fix or at least reduce the problem with arma

older generation heat seekers may have been able to lock onto a heat signature im not sure...but radar guided shouldnt lock onto them

saving is a good thing but also keep up on tech news because once you have enough something better may come along and you would prolley be better off getting the newer product.....but check out reviews and such make sure it doesn't have issues before you buy it

im not trying to start yet another 8800 problem issue but i was on the BTS site and the 8800 crashing was considered a driver issue.... so i went to nvidia and was bouncing back and forth between their techies and beta drivers and such without much success they finally escalated me and the reply from them at that point basically was: This support website is designed to support products purchased directly from NVIDIA, such as the NVIDIA Dual TV tuner card, NVIDIA Pure Video DVD Decoder, and QuadroPlex. We also address Presales questions about NVIDIA based products and technology. We can only try to help you or point you in the right direction but we cannot resolve all problems outside the scope of our support. If its a driver issue the game developer will need to formally contact NVIDIA Developer Relations. this may be a stupid question but im gonna ask anyway cuz i have my stupid moments are you guys in contact with nvidia about the issue? i know this will prolley start some flame crap and im sorry if it does

well i finally get an answer in plain english...mostly... one thing though they havent ditched DX9 100% cuz i did get a 9c update a month or 2 ago...though it didnt seem to affect much of what i do....they did put it out though....

i was searching on armaspy for a server and ran across this server it was running a test map and had placebo and suma in it its specs were a 1024Mb connection with 2048 slots! can we join this or was this an accident it was made public?

i understand they only support their stuff....but my card is a BFG and from what i can tell is they use the same drivers....the download page says their drivers are provided by nvidia....heck their download page mirriors nvidias so from what i can tell their drivers come from nvidia i have contacted BFG as well however so well see what is said

hmm could it be an overheating issue...i only ask because you have no regularity from what you said and it takes time for it to happen as well as perhaps time to build an unstable level of heat in your system perhaps cleaning with air or something or perhaps adding some ventilation may improve on the problem

has it caused the crash with the error message?

ive been working with nvidia since the bug tracking site for BI said it was a driver issue im using the 163.44 beta drivers right now and they seem to work fairly well http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_163.44.html is the link i was given by NVIDIA support i havent had a crash of that kind...yet...(knock on wood)since i installed these drivers hopefully they are a solution to the problem i do still use the maxmem=512 and stuff but i havent lowered my settings yet

ok dont wanna be an ass but i believe its the AH-1Z in arma witht he 4 blade config and winglet things i like the idea of a functioning longbow apache though or even a functioning kiowa warrior hiding behind a hill with the mast sight targeting stuff

if its legit you can email BIS or the publisher and see if they can furnish a replacement ID number i did this with OFP-R cuz i lost the manual there was some number on the actual CD i had to use to authenticate my disc is all

is it possible for us to get an idea of what is being fixed in the 1.09 patch that comes with the gold edition? ive seen nothing about what it fixes in the places ive looked

my only gripe right now patchwise may not be BIS problem but the 8800 issue is rather annoying if its BIS problem i hope to <insert deity here> that 1.09 fixes it if its a diver issue i hope to <insert deity here> that the responsible parties fix it SOON

every MP game i have played has required patching...some numerous patches and no im not talking about OFP other games are in it ill not name any but ive played many games and they all rquired patches some in excess of 500MBs
