    Slowed audio after game starts

1 GB of RAM and using OPFL 1.75, whenever I try to upgrade the processes tell me there are corrupt files and suggest that I reinstall the original game, yuk!

Brand new way to not launch opflash

Yeah, I've got a solution for my Alienware/ATIRadeon9600/DirectX problem but it isn't pretty. With this laptop I opted for a second harddrive. On it, I've installed XP Pro and the Alienware disc of original drivers which put me back on DirectX8 with an old enough driver that lets me toggle the 3D Draw capabilities of DirectX off/on. So now I boot into my gamer drive or my worker bee drive which needs to be Directx9 so my other apps will work properly. I can drive a car but I'm not a mechanic, which means I do not know how (after dealing with Microsoft's techie and Alienware's techies with this without a solution) this should be fixed but this will allow me to play missions for now.
  4. Sometimes, not always, during play, after a couple of minutes, the audio goes amazingly and irritatingly draggy. It makes me not want to issue commands since they would come to late. The rest of the game is in realtime and, as I said, it happens in various scenarios from time to time. If I close out OF and restart it will not be evident but exiting a game and starting any other single mission will not clear it. Any other instances of this? I use an Alienware Area 51 with the ATI Radeon 9600/C-Media AC97 Audio Device config.
  5. Launching OF results in an error stating; DX8 Required. This came after I foolishly relented to Microsoft updating some files, DirectX ones, I suspect. Loading DirectX9 did nothing to change the situation. Any help is appreciated.
