    Bug when in vehicles

Hey guys, I dunno if anyone has posted about this, but at least for me, when I get in tanks, etc., sometimes my guys glasses and mouth will show up on my screen. The view through the specs let's me actually see through the tank, like x-ray vision or something.. very strange. System Specs Gigabyte GA-7VTXH+ Athlon XP 1500+ (running at 1.34 Ghz) 256MB RAM GeForce4 Ti4200 (newest Det drivers) -Starr

    Is anyone making sports cars?

Man, all I want in OFP is a Porsche 944. I'd just love to speed around Everon in this baby, runnin' over anybody that got in my way. -Starr

    Air assault help!

If you wanna take down an enemy chopper with missles, you have to use manual fire and point the chopper at your target, fire, and pray you timed your shot right. ;)

    What pistol...

To Assault (CAN): From what I've read (http://www.hkpro.com/socom.htm), there is no difference between the military and civilian SOCOM. HK offered the SOCOM for civilian purchase, but stopped soon after. The pistol is exactly the same as the military version, even keeping the threaded barrel on the pistol so you can attach the suppresor provided by HK. There are many different types of the USP, the SOCOM being one of them. A few of these were made for civilian interests (USP Elite), and others for the military (USP Tactical). I hope that somewhat answered your question. :)

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">I totally agree on the inclusion of smallarms, but on the subject of usefulness how about the inclusion of various Machine Pistols/Small-Size SMGs? Â I'd like to see the Russian OC-23 Or the Stetchkin APS Machine pistols, and perhaps either the Ingram MAC-10, Uzi, or Mini Uzi.<span id='postcolor'> Ok, first, this thread is about -pistols-, not SMGs or machine pistols. Second, I haven't seen many soldiers running around with Uzis or other small SMGs. The only SMG that should be in the game is the MP5, since most special forces use that or other similiar sized SMGs. And I also believe that machine pistols and most small SMGs have poor long range accuracy and moderate short range, so it wouldn't save your bacon since you're up against guys with M16s and AK74s.

    What pistol...

I agree with Jub-Jub, pistols should be added, if only for the sake of realism. They might not help a lot, but they might make a nice weapon if your in close quarters, like in one of the towns. And as far as where you rifle would go when you pull out your pistol, I know some people have the slings set up so that the rifle will hang flush against your chest, so I think that might be a good way to go. The biggest problem with this would be getting the animation, but since we already have the shoulder weapon option, I don't think this avenue would be pursued. The only other problem would be what Jub-Jub said: we don't have an animation for holding the pistol, so until good modelers and animators do this, it's not going to look good... And even if the US and Russians don't use them in the game, the civvies in the town might have them, or the rebels might be on a tight budget, so they're using pistols, you never know. Just my two cents.

    Multiplayer woes :(

Did you install the 1.30 upgrade over 1.29 or any of the 1.2* betas? The 1.30 upgrade is supposed to upgrade 1.20, not any of the betas. That might be the problem. I would suggest re-installing OFP then upgrading to 1.20 (if you have UK version) and then putting on the 1.30 upgrade.
