  1. HI I was just wondering if there are any completed helicopter or aircraft addons for ARMA. I have a list: lynx ah mk7, Puma SA 330, EH101, AC-130H Spectre, CH-53E Super Stallion/MH-53E Sea Dragon, CH-47D/MH-47E Chinook and the B-52 Stratofortress I know this is cheeky, because I can't make mods but if anyone knows where I can find these or knows if any of them are being made I would be greatful.   4. is anyone thinking of modding the cars and trucks so they are better to drive, because they handle abit sluggishly and are generally abit dodgy to control.

    Hi you know the sea fleet that you are creating, do they have fully functional cannons , missiles systems etc, and are aircraft going to be able to land on them and are they able to carry loads of soldiers Also as you are importing them from OFP are you going to upgrade the renders etc so they look as good as the rest of the vehicles in ARMA?

  7. Hi How do you make soldiers so they don't have any weapons when they start a mission, as if they are captives, or civilians in army uniform? Also is there a way of removing soldiers hats or helmets?
  8. Hi Does anyone know how to disarm a soldier so he is a captive? Also is it possible to remove a soldiers helmet and rucksack etc?

    Aircraft in general

    I don't know which patch made the controllability of aircraft better, because I installed them simultaneously, but now both chopper and planes are really enjoyable to fly. it is great being able to have proper dog fights with enemy jets, because I can easily control one and the lockon system works well, but it did in OFP. Also the Autopilot landing is a great feature, and finally the harrier is able to do vertical landings and takeoffs. Another great improvement is now the laser designation system works well, which it didn't before. One issue though, is I cant seem to make a pilot land then taxi and disembark, can this be done in the scripting somehow? Normally I specify a waypoint and assign "get out" as a type.

    RockofSL what ever you and your team make will be great Iam sure. In addition I bet programming a cargo system for vehicles will be difficult. Have you got a list of everything you are going to make in the future, Iam just interested, and are you going to make a Globe Master A C-17 III by any chance?

    If Iwas going to make a war game I would not have it on a sun-kissed, tropical, holiday island, would you? I would prefer a full on desert island, like Iraq type setting, or a full on snow/bleak island, as if it was set in Bosnia or the depths of Siberia, like kolgochev or what ever it was called from OFP. What is the story with the buildings, when they just fall down, that is such a bad effect (without swearing) I would rather the building never fell down, bits should just crumble off when they are shot at, Does BI know how strong Buildings actually are! I think the most stupid thing in the whole game is when you shoot at tires and they just go black/burnt. I don't understand why they even bothered doing such an effect, if they were struggling for a popped tire effect why didn't they just keep the old effect from OFP, where it just deflated! Little things like the one Above totally destroy the game experience for me I wish they would fix simple things like this in the patches Who agrees with what I've said, If you've read this far?

    ArmA is just ... awesome!

    Its great being able to have so many units on the field. I don't know the maximum amount you can command but I had 7 basic infantry groups under my command once. The scenary is good and is helped by the stunning graphics and lighting The man models are completely ahead of time in the way they look and the way they move. This game offers graphics which are much better than expected, buts its a shame my PC can't run them on high.

    Hi Armed has good things and bad things about it. the little things that annoy me is, why do the pilots have m16? is that what they carry in real life? What happened to the Captive soldiers, they we a good feature in OFP? What happened to the Chinook? I thought it was one of the best vehicles in OFP. However Im glad they've put the A-10 back in. One more thing, ARMA is a massive improvement since OFP, especially in graphic terms and for example the soldier animation is amazing, but most of the vehicles have remained the same since the 1980's, when OFP was based, Its like they have just been transfered over. these are vehicles like the UH-60 helicopter, which could have been changed for a more modern day equivalent, such as the merlin or future lynx and the humvees, which could have been updated. I know they are all still in frequent service today, but even more changes should have been made. However such things as the Harrier and the strykers are a very good addition.

    ye I tried putting in the harriers name - AV-8B and it still come up with that message: missing :. then I added another ";" after the AV-8B so it looks like this: AV-8B; flyinheight 25;, then it says this message "type number, expected nothing"

    Thanks for you reply, yes I mean those unarmed soldiers, who dont do anything. I dont understand what you mean: use classes "SoldierWCaptive", "SoldierECaptive", and "SoldierGCaptive", where can I find this? and how can I remove any weapons from them, and use "setCaptive" command, is this in the waypoint interface or something

    It silly really I've had an sli system for a year now and sli systmes have been around for about 2 years and no games company seems to take full advantage of this, which I dont understand. It would probably make it better for them to develop a sli game because they can make a better game, which is more graphically stunning. 9750gtx2, 1GB DDR3 AMD athelon64 4.4Ghz RAM: 2GB DDR2

    I gave a harrier a waypoint and made it so it was already in flight then put: this flyinheight 10; in the script text box. Also I copied and pasted it into the act text box to see if it would work in there and it came up with a message saying, "missing ;", as above.

    speaking of cargo systems, when you make the AC130 is it possible to make the back door drop down so a small vehicle can drive into it and it can then be transported?
