There's some landrover betas over on ofp.info

Any chance of adding a copy of the configs to the 1.1 update? It'd make it easier to create new groups armed with Kabal's SLR, etc for personal use. Or even to have a crack a replacing the standard OFP units using OFP:Y2K3 or the like. Now there's a thought!

I was wondering about the zoom on the LMG - it makes the weapon pretty much a death ray in comparison with the GPMG for example. I can see no optics on the in-game model to account for the zoom... Nice sight on the SA80/UGL, by the way.

Ah, FaceCamoState it is. Thanks Tom!

for the group leader: "[ _x, 9] exec ""\ukf_infantry\scripts\init_beret.sqs"" " foreach units group this; "_x animate [""HelmetState"", 1]" foreach units group this; EDIT: 9 will give you the grenadier guards, etc.

Nice work! - and thanks for releasing the DPM pack separately. Is there a way of setting the camouflage in a units init box?

Nice bombs - but where's the passenger waving the cowboy hat? Yeee-hawww!!!!

Nice work - thanks for sharing!

FWIW, Amazon UK have got OFP2 pre-order with a release date of July 9, 2004 and the Prima strategy guide June 1.

Looks terrific - I'm downloading now, but then I 've got to go to work Â

Be honest now, you're never going to get too upset about gushing praise!

Agreed. The last thing I need is more junk cluttering up the registry, start menu, desktop etc, etc. Â The first thing I want is the full release... Â Â

... A replacement pack for standard BIS units would be much appriciated. Seconded! Bring them on!! Â

With FDF's breakdown weapons, maybe there the possibility of a true pack howitzer in the future?

I can see it now, "Dobbin, driver get in saddle 12 o clock" Yeeew hawwww!

So we can quickly fix any little bugs that are really annoying us without having to wait for another 200 meg download   I guess we've got use to the idea that OFP is an open system, which accounts for a lot of its long-term appeal. If I want to use BIBMI's British RM and Paras without the irritating red cross armband in Res, I can open up the .pbo and do a quick fix with O2. Similarly with Kabal's SLR that has auto, and SA80 that doesn't have a rifle grenade - I can do a quick fix to the config.cpp and go happily on my way. I've also made copies of OFrP excellent mod for West and East, so I can quickly tweak missions to use the French which be a lot more work if I was stuck with the shipped Resistance pbo. Ditto Malvinas Mod's 'East' Brits. All of which I was able to do with CSLA, and which makes the mods that much more useful. But not CSLA2.  Â

Kabal's Sniper-Rifles pack has the L96, plus the AWP, AWM50 and Cheyenne Tactical.

glowy stick -> glow stick yperite gas -> mustard gas killer team -> assassination team (or maybe, hit team)

Maybe a work around would be to make the RPG round a (x3) pistol ammo item, so you could only ever carry one round. Or (x2) if it was reasonable for a man to carry two such disposable items.

If you're still stalled, I'll give it a try

GJ Mig, Tracy Some aimless pecking at the ground anims would be really cool...
-
YYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 60.4 kb/s with 56 mins to go...
-
So you could have a script to do this for a given mod and just call it in those missions you needed it? I guess you could do the same thing to alter standard weapon & ammo loadouts for the various classes of soldiers etc. Hmmm. Interesting...

If you want to permanently change a unit in an addon, you can unpack (a copy of...) the .pbo and edit the config.cpp file, then repack the addon. This is handy if you just want to alter an exisiting mission using the ofp editor, for example to replace the US with the French.
