Yeah, they did that with the origional- do you know that kolgujev is actually an exact map of tenerife?; only shrunk to a fraction of the size and with all the towns removed?

I think addon-wise that while guba and Gastovski clearly both have a great deal of interesting history behind them (there could also be a campaign set when Gastovski and Troska were buddies fighting together in far off parts of the world) I think its time the Flashpoint story (rapidly becoming an epic saga) moved forward in Time; maybe Gastovki's getting old and is no longer able to perform missions himself; but is still involved in planning missions and giving helpful advice to player characters; maybe armstrong is A black-op officer now instead; and there is a new soldier recruit who turns out to be the hero on some other God-forsaken pissy little Island after Guba escapes from the war-crimes tribuneral and launches yet ANOTHER massive invasion.....the possibilities are endless; and I look forward to seeing where flashpoint goes next- is Independance lost set on an island near The ones we have already or is it somewhere else entirely; will the characters be the same?

Most of the OPF characters have character traits that are too obvious; they feel faked; almost caricatures. Gastovki Is my favourite because his character is much more subtle; merely hinted at in some places- Victor Troska's is the same in Resistance, they are gradually built up; rather than just making sure you have a squad which contains A tough but good-guy sergeant; an asshole who loves war and some wise old guy who tells everyone to be quiet; real people aren't like that.

I would just like to congratulate BIS on the OFP resistance campaign - In my opinion a better rounded and more polished set of missions than the original (if a little short.) The voice acting was also better- Gastovski was about the only major character in the origional campaign with a voice that didnt begin to grate after the first few missions; the voices in Resistance were, however, much better, and I was pleased they didnt try to give the main resistance characters badly done eastern european accents. The story line was also A little better (although I still dont know who the fuck tazmanian devil is- was he in the original campaign or something- I dont remember) Anyway, just wanted to say well done
