I use a Saitek X36 to fly the planes and choppers. The problem is that I mapped the buttons A and B for ascend and descend and they no longer work. However, the game does read the buttons because I tried to remap in the controls section and the buttons showed up.

well I am glad to hear that I am not the only one with this problem. But at the same time I am sorry that we all have this problem. It gets really frustrating switching from the mouse to the keyboard to the joystick (or in our case keyboard and joystick). Please BIS fix the problem.

no the joystick on the x36 doesn't have a slider.

I would like to know how to make a text message apear when any of the players get into a certain vehicle.

I wanted to know if I should upgrade to version 1.45. I have heard alot of bad thing about it. I mean are most people going to stay with 1.42 and the ones who downloaded 1.45 going to revert back. Then wait for the next patch? Or is every body going to stick with 1.45

sorry. I would like to know if you can speed up an empty vehicle so that when a player gets inside and drives its faster than average. Something like a speed up time but only with a certain vehicle.

I was wondering if there was a way to speed up vehicles.

I am making a mission with a few tanks but I don't want them to move. I took out the fuel but they slide a little. Also is there a way to make them only playable as, say, the gunner?

I just finished a new CTF map. While testing it I died and was respawned as a flying seagull. It moves with the same controls as a heli(Q=up Z=down E=forward). Maybe it happens all of the time and it's new to me. If this has happened to somebody else let me know.

I am having a problem with the flags. The problem is that I can't grab it. I was wondering if this could be caused by bad command lines in the triggers or something else.

Yea I got on gamespy and asked there and they said about the same thing. But its still pretty cool although I could see how it could get irritating. I still would like to know what causes it. I thought it had something to do with the description.ext
