correct me if i'm wrong, but the last mission is the one where you walk in to the base undercover, plant 3 bombs, blow them up, call in the mortar attack from the americans, then run in and capture the two russian officers, get on the boat, and slip away unnoticed with the officers... what i have a problem with is after i capture the officers, it goes away from my being able to control the dmitri to a cutscene... i've played this mission about 10 times... only once has the cutscene actually ended(with dimitri slipping away from the battlefield in the boat)... the other nine or so times it just has showed the boat, the officers, and dimitri from above forever... well, at least until i got fed up and aborted the mission... the one time the mission did end, it went to the debriefing screen, and then when i click continue, it just went back to the main menu... no big ending... just said something about do a great service to my country in the debriefing screen... also, now that i think of it, after i beat the mission 'red dawn' in the 1985 campaign, the mission 'status quo' never showed up for me to play...

With all do respect, RN, I did *bother to read some of the posts*... I must have missed those to which you are referring. Anyway, I will check out your solution and if it still does not work I will post the other info.

When I bought this game about a month ago, V1.20, I had a problem with the game completely freezing. I couldn't use CTRL-ALT-DELETE or ALT-TAB. I'd have to shut off the computer completely. I solved that problem by using HARDWARE T&L. Absolutely no problems with the game freezing using HARDWARE T&L. Then a few days ago I download and install V1.30. When I ran the game, using HARDWARE T&L, there were tons of wierd colors in the sky, and I was having problems with people walking a few feet above or below the ground, same thing with vehicles, even bushes would seem to move as I approached them. So I turned off HARDWARE T&L, and wouldn't you know it, problem solved. EXCEPT - now my game is freezing again!!! Pretty much randomly, but particularly when flying in a heli or during cutscenes. This has become annoying to no end and I think I may be done with this otherwise great game forever. 1.3 Ghz P4 128 meg sdram 32 mb ati radeon ddr win me

I've replayed the mission and beat it. No problem. But there really should be some time of system in place so that if the guys you need to meet up with get killed, you can still complete the mission. I mean, I lived, I killed every living thing on the island, but there was no way to get back to friendly troops. Isn't this suppossed to be realistic?

Here's the problem. Â I laid down the mines, ended up taking out two of the tanks. Â Wasted the guys that somehow lived through me blowing up the tanks. Â Leader was wasted by bad guys. Â So before I get up to the rendevouz point the APC I'm supposed to get into is blown up my something. Â Not sure what, didn't see, but I suspect a T-80. Â So I head down to the village south and waste those guys, scavange some russian rockets and blow up that tank. Â Â I head up to the NATO base and carefully proceed to waste everyone there and then blow up the remaining tanks. Â So now in my journal it shows that the objective of destroying the tanks has been accomplished. Â The second objective, of course, is to meet up with the APC -who were blown up early on. Â So what the #### do I do now? Â I got in the jeep by the woods south of the NATO base and pretty much drove all over the southwest part of the island till I accidentally hit a building and f*ck*ed up the truck. Â So then I walk all up and down the western half of the island and most all of the eastern half. Â Eventually I became disgusted and turned of the PC. Â So my question, again - what the #### are you suppossed to do/where the #### do you go if you have completed the objective but the people who are suppossed to meet you are dead? Thanks.
