Your iron sights view looks terrific!

I like the look of that--keep plugging and show it around when you can. It's a good argument; I'm convinced.<span id='postcolor'> me too..hopefully BAS might do something similar for theirs. *bumb*

Im excited by the idea of a flashpoint2 being a 'nam based conflict. That conflict from a US/AUS/NZ point of view relied heavily on CAS, and Artillery strikes, which would be interesting to see implemented in the game (not as a 3rd party addon/script). Also the most graphically intensive environment would be jungle imo, so they must think they can work wonders with the new graphics engine to do that. cheers! ons,

The helmets look pretty much spot on, but maybe you should dirty them up with sand etc, similar to their look on tattoine (spelling?). Or try them out on Winter Nogojev, then you just need the snowtroopers from Empire Strikes back

Dynamic range source revisited
_WTF_onslaught replied to PitViper's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
If you are continuing to maintain the dynamic range sound pack, would it be possible to include sounds for the weapons that have been released for Resistance, particularly the handguns (which dont sound anything like that). cheers ons, -
From the screenshot it looks like Eurocopter's NHI-90 An interesting utility helicopter with both side doors and a rear ramp NHI-90 Australia are considering purchasing them as an alternative to our blackhawks/chinooks I believe.

(if you havent already) ... Take a look at some of the mogadishu maps on Mark Bowdens newspaper posted information site.. http://inquirer.philly.com/packages/somalia/maps.asp Some good information, including all sorts of information. The movie was shot in Marrocco as it was the closest similar place they could shoot a movie in. imho the book (as is often the case) is far far superior to the movie, and would be a great resource, describing small details such as how fine the sand/dust was, and how difficult the rangers insertion was due to reduced visibilty (including a fast rope drop of only 2 metres in one case). cheers, onsl.

Hmm.. On CQ fighting.. Im surprised SWAT3 hasn't gotten more comment along the lines of R6. However I suppose the lethality of it has been reduced to make it more accessible for to the general public. I could never get into BF1942, for many of the reasons listed above. However, I do love Day of Defeat, which has about the right amount mix of realism and fun, for a general FPS.. and is well worth the look. Still, OFP remains the single best game I can ever recall playing (way back to my first PC Jr game, Round42)

Thanks very much for the info Suma

I am using a Gforce4 Ti 4200, which I understand can display 16:9 ratio resolutions.. albeit, custom designed with PowerStrip software. [WTF]onslaught - clan_wtf@hotmail.com ICQ#57228905 Weapons, Tactics, Force. Visit us at: http://www.clan-wtf.com

Hi, Just wondered if anyone had been able to play OFP in widescreen? I have a 16:9 projector, however all of the resolutions appear to be a normal 4:3 image, and can only be streched out (looks weird). Has anyone been able to output a true widescreen or anamorphic signal? cheers, ons.

Steyr variants (m203 and lsw)
_WTF_onslaught replied to Major Fubar's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I'd suggest you head over to the Australian defence force mod. Someone there will almost certainly be able to help you with that. http://adfmod.opflashpoint.org -
sort of offtopic.. It would be nice if the co-pilot (gunner) had the option to sieze the controls, giving u a chance to save the chopper. It would also be comforting to see him sitting next to you in vehicles like the UH-60-MG rather than him doing the crew chiefs job on the MG, and a vacant seat next to you!
