ArmA feedback thread - based on Beta Patch 1.15
-OF-katzenscheisse replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
the commander in bmp2 still can't turn in third person view. in first person view he can. -
i am very happy about warfare and the new involvement of the community. i feel arma made a capital jump forward during the last month. thank u all. my wishes for warfare: i would like to see all the ai of my side on the map. it would be great if the ai of my squad would be marked by its numbers.
-
maybe u use a beta patch. then the server.cfg must be still in the arma main directory, as this is the working directory. if the server.cfg is in the beta folder it will not be used.
-
as i asked before: do u start the server from inside the game?
-
the video looks good. the hardcore cti gamer still play ofp, because they like the full range of function crcti provides. and the portations of crcti to arma have problems after a while.
-
try the line: "Welcome to the Server", without comma. u need a comma to separate several lines. so type: "Welcome to the Server" maybe it works. did u start a dedicated server or did u start a new game from the multiplayer-screen in arma?

till 1.09 i used verifySignatures on my server. since 1.11 i use verifySignatures as well as BattleEye. but do i need both on the server? does BattlEye already check addons for cheats? by the way: checkfiles seems to be obsolet since verifySignatures. am i right?

1.11 beta patch troubleshooting thread.
-OF-katzenscheisse replied to hoz's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
i have the NAT negotiation problem too. i have a dedicated server in a LAN that is connected to the internet by a router. it is a DSL connection with dynamic ip. i use a dyndns account. till 1.09b there was no problem to connect. since 1.11b the connection from internet by gamespy inside ArmA is impossible while connection from LAN with gamespy inside ArmA works - never mind BattlEye and VoN are on or off on server. now i use the startparameter -connect=<ip> (example: C:\Programme\ArmA\beta\arma.exe -mod=dbe1;beta -nosplash -connect=oldfreakz.dyndns.org) on client. with this a connection from internet is possible - never mind BattlEye and VoN are on or off on server. i know this is no solution. but it is a workaround. is this NAT negotiation problem an interface problem of GameSpy and ArmA? -

i don't know if i do something wrong, but if i let AI lay satchels for an ambush they blow them up after a while spontaneously - even if i told them to hold fire. -
could someone translate this? http://games.tiscali.cz/reviews/arma2brddojmy/ there is a picture of something that looks like CTI. http://games.tiscali.cz/reviews/arma2brddojmy/img12.jpg

@blazen: i like that ai spawn in towns that i conquered. i need my own ai to attack next town. @doolittle: it would be great, if the commander could make the ai-group-leader spawn in the base or at a fieldhospital. i would like to have more ai in my squad as in former versions.

when u are near two or more trucks (repair, ammo, mhq) it is sometimes hard to choose the menu for the desired truck through the actionmenu. the same difficulty is there with near buildings. is it possible to show in the actionmenu the options of all the reachable trucks or buildings? then it were possible to choose the options of the desired truck or building in the actionmenue.

is it possible to change the colour of townflags for blufor to blue? now they are green. but the colour for blufor in the lobby is blue. another reason is the name "blufor". it sounds blue. the third reason is in tactical menoeuvres of nato the colour for west is blue. then i suggest yellow for resistance and green for unoccupied.
