Delta's Fire Department needs your opinion!
-EAU-Ranger replied to Delta Hawk's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I've been patiently waiting for these addons to come out since I saw your first post about the topic. I would love to see these addons released, even in their current 'beta' status. On the topic of the basket not being level on your tower ladder. Have you considered removing the 'basket' portion of the ladder and making it rear mounted aerial truck? This would do away with your issue of not having the basket level. In any case, I would love to see these addons released in any form. Thanks for your hard work! -
Great work on the DPV, as per BAS usual. Your stuff gets more and more promising everyday. What'da you say about releasing some screenshots of those SEALs with MP5N's for sanity's sake?

Great work BAS!  The latest screenies posted by Blackdog look almost real.  Gotta love the Mk23 SOCOM!  Just hope Blackdog keeps the screens coming, that truely shows just how talented these guys are. Q:  Has BAS talked with CoC about possibly using their dive scripts on future SEAL Team releases?

Vixer wanted research, Vixer will get research... The current strobe device you have modeling in your Seal Team 8 pack is the SDU-5E Marker Distress Light. Â The SDU-5 was originally designed and built for pilots to be used to signal their location for SAR/CSAR crews at night. Â It was eventually picked up by many ground units and Special Forces (Including: Rangers and SEALs). The SDU-5 has a range of about 5 miles on a clear dark night. Â However, with the addition of an Infra-red filter, the SDU-5 strobe can only be seen from night vision and FLIR equipment. The most well known example of this is the movie Blackhawk Down where a soldier tosses a SDU-5 strobe equipped with an IR Filter on top of a highly occupied roof allowing the AH-6 pilots to see where to fire. Since the military started using the SDU-5 a new and more advanced Distress Strobe has been adopted, the MS2000. The MS2000 is brighter, has a longer battery life, and also has a built in IR filter. Â The MS2000 also has a blue filter so that the strobe is not mistaken for gunfire, which could potentially be dangerous if an attack aircraft thinks your firing at it. For all intensive purposes, the MS2000 has replaced the SDU-5 for most military operations. Â However, the MS2000 is much larger than the SDU-5 and requires two hands to operate. Â For this reason, and since I've yet to see any pictures of SEALs using the MS2000, I'd say modeling the SDU-5 for your SEAL Team pack is a safe bet. In conclusion, I'd say the most fail-safe way to determine which strobe to use for you pack, is to ask a real life Navy SEAL, which I suppose is harder than is sounds. Â You'll have to excuse me as a go for a run to try to forget the fact I just wrote a small essay on Distress Strobes! Â Any who, hope this helps a little!

Wow! Got to love extremely realistic and (most probably) functional defensive countermeasures! Great work BAS, as per usual, and take your time. I'd rather have a perfect bird, than a rushed one. With that said, can't wait to have some fun that chopper.

Mapfact.net releases baracks addon!
-EAU-Ranger replied to MP Studio's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Great job on the barracks as usual. You guys sure do have a ton of talent. Any chance you guy will make a large scale air traffic control tower in the near future? In my opinion, they've always been missing from OFP.
