Looking for good co-op players!
Zoolander64 replied to SSgt Decker's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Greetings Jake34, If you are looking for a informal group of co-op players, let's get your folks with our folks. We run with ARMA2:OA+ACE+ACRE+Domi. Sounds like you have a good setup with custom maps we would like to try. If interested I am almost always on Teamspeak at ts3.digitalthemepark.com. -Zoolander64 -
Looking for adult players
Zoolander64 replied to Zoolander64's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Greetings All, Just a quick note to let folks know that DigitalThemePark has now migrated its servers to A2 OA. You will need ACE and ACRE as well. We play Domination on with many maps. DigitalThemePark TeamSpeak can be found at ts3.digitalthemepark.com and the A2 OA servers are under DigitalThemePark. -
Greetings dkosmack, Looks like we posted fairly close to each other. Check out my post and ping me if interested. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=121853

Greetings All, I don't post all that much, but several of my friends picked up ARMA 2 while it was on sale at Steam this week. We are having a lot of fun with it. I am curious if others would like to join. We are all a wee bit older(30+), and have fun with folks that are mature and respectful as well. I know this may sound like a clan trying to promote, but we are really just a group of buddies having fun. We have setup US based server(ARMA 2 with Domination v2.11). I am still tuning, but it seems to work well so far. Any advice is appreciated? Is there anything better than Domination? For VoIP we use TeamSpeak 3 from DigitalThemePark. (the price is right; FREE!). They can be found at ts3.digitalthemepark.com. Once in the "Welcome..." channel, just PM someone, otherwise you will only be able to get to that default channel until they make you a DTP "citizen". We also have the OA mod but no server yet. Have not checked to see if we can run on the same box. Will the ports collide? Worth it? Folks like it? It is a "down the road" thing. We are now just trying to get through a Domination primary/secondary target without getting killed. Anyway, I thank Steam for having such a wonderful sale. Although I have played the ARMA series over the years, this was a nifty find for my friends, and thus me, since I get to play with them. We also got Team Fortress 2 and wow that is fast paced for old fingers. Hope to see a few new folks, otherwise see you on the Battlefield

A.C.E. 2 - v1.2 stable (Advanced Combat Environment)

Greetings All, I just noticed the 1.07 patch has been released for ARMA 2. I upgraded my steam client and server (I host Zoo's World). After getting the latest ACE build (371), when I try to connect to my ACE server, I get a "Waiting for Host" message. It appears that a few servers have this working. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there something special that needs to be done to support the 1.07 patch? I did a quick search but really did not find anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -
@All lets stop this public multiplayer mess!
Zoolander64 replied to tom_'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
Just a thought.... What if we started a new convention to use a certain 2 or 3 letter code in the server name for folks to see? ex: TP, for Teamplay or something like that. btw: Count me and another in. We would love to play the smaller coop's in a tactical military manner. We try our best to do that at Zoo' World. -
A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment - Public Beta *2*!

Thanks MaXyM. That seems to have worked. Looks like the missions are now stored under the store folder in mpmissions.tar. -
A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment - Public Beta *2*!
Zoolander64 replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Are you talking about "mpmissions.tar"? So I guess we need to get a .tar reader and extract them? I have not seen anything in the changelog that this is the new procedure. What did I miss? -

I updated to v266 today. I see that the MPMissions folder is no empty (actually non-existent). I did a quick search through the forums and wiki sites, but maybe missed where we get the MPMissions that are specific to ACE. I do have the older v256 MPMissions. Maybe they are not getting updated anymore? Any help would be appreciated. -

Greetings Oktane, Ok, what you are saying makes a lot of sense. Now, is it ARMA 2 that is responsible for the client time sync to server when a player connects, or does the mapmaker have to add his code. Here is my guess. ARMA 2 normally does the sync as part of the product/game/simulation. Domi maps are coded to perform a time sync to the admin set default time. So another sync occurs to this default server time, (5am is default for Domi I think) Am I all wet here? So the trick might be to allow admin to set the server clock (once at map startup, like it is now), but clients use the intrinsic ARMA 2 command (already automatic) I could be way way off.

I have determined the mission file, and unpbo'd it. I am in the guts of the scripting, but being a newbie to ARMA scripting, I have yet to determine the command or proper placement in the numerous scripts. Playing with the scripting is kinda fun.
