How comes that the game is unable to run smooth in general like BF2 or other games what run at over 60fps. Not tech minded so please in laymans terms.

So does that mean that arma 1 now runs very very fast with a top notch graphics card.

So does that mean hardware or software advances are needed

64 X2 4800+ Dual Core.... Running at 2.6ghz and hits 100% when the going gets tough.

Game booster gave me a 1% increase in ram what might be of some use to others. Here............ http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html I think by looking at a ram monitor that arma 2 uses about a gig and half.

What is ArmA 2 more dependant on cpu or gpu, reason i ask is because im going to upgrade my 7800 gtx's for a single hd4850/4870 1gb. At the moment i have a amd 4800+x2 and noticed that when the going turns in to mass carnage on sceen my cpu is running flat out at 100% so i get system lag. So will me upgrading my cards take the strain off the cpu or just enhance the mass carnage on screen and still lag. amd 4800+ 2gb xms corsair ram 2 7800gtx's in sli win xp sp3

does resolution affect CPU or is that a gain only for fps from GPU

My monitor max resolution is 1360x768. My Mboard is a A8N-SLI PCI-ex16 So for £100 what is the best graphics card for what will take best advantage of that low resolution.

Why aint they gave the rifles the power what they give in real life. stand to civilians in a row and shoot them with a M107 and the bullet only sinks the first guy. this is a rifle that puts a hole in solid steel. I want to line up about 5 people and have a 1 shot 5 kill. dont tell me that it's bullet deflection and hits a bone thats why coz thats rollox. 50 cal goes through bones like a hot knife through butter.

Also do AI avoid mountains now while flying around in jets and also are they flying fast around mountains now instead of flapping around getting all nonced up.

Im about to buy paper boy for the ZX Spectrum.... will i get better frames per second than most people will get on high end rigs with ArmA II

Shame... i wanted that to be in here from day one. would of been nice to sit up on a mountain and set up a battle in a valley below with A10's making that sound.

What i found with A1 with my system was to put everything on high but have a low rez then change the screen format to wide screen to pull all back into shape., that way i got a framerate in the 50's most of the time and semi descent graphics. not sure if it will work on A2 or not.

Dual Core Optimizer Yeah i got 40-50 fps gain with this...... yeah i wish when are they gunna sort this game out so it runs at a good 60-70 fps or is this wishful thinking.

So then after all these post have we come to a conclusion on what is what !!! Getiing 15-20 fps is a pain in the ass on a high end system but i do not wanna think that i am playing BHD just to get some 30-40 fps So then what is the answer or a universal answer for hitting a solid 30-40 fps when the going gets tuff without playing everything on low settings on medium-high end systems forget low end systems. Or have we come to terms with the game is at fault and wait for them to sort it. Dont blind us with all this computer talk because all i needed to do in many war games on full settings is just put the dvd and play it, simple huh so why is this not the case with Arma.

What is the recommended system specs for this game. also do we ever hear from the makers of the game. also can anyone find the system spec that the makers of the game tested and ran the game on before release.

What i would love to know is that will armed assault ever run as smooth as the likes of BF2 what i get about a average of 50-60 fps but is armed assault gunna be like soldner !!! a great idea but never run fast or smooth, i have been bored of Bf2 for ages now and it dont tickle me fancy any more and i loved soldner but that was unplayable. i was very very happy to see armed assault and downloaded the german version but then unhappy to see poor frame rates. i love the idea of the vastness of the game and that it is a simulation. so please could anyone who knows what is what tell me if in the near future that this game will run at 50-60 fps when the the going gets tuff. thank you if you could tell me the ins and outs of my question. oh yeah i have a high end sli system and getting about max 30 fps in town areas.

Place bo you fail to see that many people like myself are downloading this around the world, so why are you locking a useful post. Dont act like a kid and close this one due to this is a honest question. If any people can help in finding a english version of the manual or know how convert german to english in adobe reader that would be very helpful. thank you
