British Troops DLC released & Official 1.01 Update

Sprocket provides you with the key you're supposed to use. Go to Sprocket, click Account Maintenance on the right hand side, and look at the serial number underneath your BAF download. -
British Troops DLC released & Official 1.01 Update
Zipper5 replied to Pauldarrington's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Works 100% fine on this end. Just had to add the missions_e.pbo hotfix and away I went. Nothing has broken in the game yet either, in fact it seems pretty stable. I don't know what's up with you people. I've not had any issues with BIS' games on release up until the BAF DLC, and even that was minor. I've not done anything special to avoid it either. You must seriously be doing something stupid on your end... -
Well, I've got to say that the campaign is quite fun so far, and funny as well. So far I've had lots of stuff to keep me occupied. The quality of the vehicles, units and sounds are also top-notch. I'm glad I bought it! Probably the one piece of DLC which is worth every penny that I've bought in a while. :D

Question about Sprocket..do you get the BAF or just a downloader?
Zipper5 replied to BeerHunter's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
It downloads the content and tries to install it. If you cancel the installation the files should be saved under Documents\Sprocket. ;) -
Admin must read this great idea...

Then go play Battlefield. ;) Perhaps you should check out what Project Reality are doing for Arma 2 if you need Arma 2 to resemble Battlefield this badly. -

Nice pictures, STALKERGB. But I think you might need to fix your aspect ratio settings, they look a bit small and squished. :p Only 12 minutes to go! :butbut: -
I was just playing with 1.54. The game hasn't been made unplayable, the patch just needs a hotfix ASAP. ;)

Oh believe me, my list has a few names on it.

1280kbps vs. 28kbps. I hate my internet... :butbut: But hey, 56% done and an hour and a half to go! -

The current solution is funny enough in it's genius, but now that you've mentioned that, I think I'd have been crying from laughter. :D -

The rush and subsequent crash from eating junkfood generally results in a person being in a bad mood, which you are obviously in. Therefore, his point was actually legitimate. Anyways, speak for yourself on the DLC issue. BIS haven't lost their way, in fact they're reinforcing it by supporting the community so well and helping with their concerns. -
CM Operation Flashpoint 3 announced | "Oops, they're doing it again..."
Zipper5 replied to Undeceived's topic in OFFTOPIC
Yeah, I saw people requesting the XM8. Granted Arma 2 has it, but that's because BIS made the model before the project was canceled. Why let a good model go to waste? These guys must play far too much BC2... -
Thank you Marek. :) Edit: The man himself posted it 3 posts beneath me. :p

And he says he doesn't know what's going on? Well then it's more-than-likely an issue on Steam's fault. And y'know, a quick Google search before buying Arma 2 and/or OA on Steam would have revealed the issues it's been having. In the future, do that before every purchase. I do, hence why I bought OA on Sprocket. ;)

Sorry, but what member of BIS have you spoken to, AussieSausage?

Gunner's missing a head. :D -
Sprocket saves my files under Documents\Sprocket.

^this. And what about those errors people have been getting? I installed the patch and only got one about missions_e.pbo, same others got, ignored it and the game launched and ran fine. Will we have to reinstall?

5 hours remaining. :( -
Yup, it broke a while back and haven't been able to get a replacement...
-
Wow, BIS were right on the dot. Downloading the BAF DLC now. :D At 26kbps... Lol. If I do have to reinstall it's a good thing I kept my Arma 2 backed up on my external HDD and my OA install files, otherwise I'd be screwed since I don't have my DVD drive. :butbut:
-
Does that mean, for those of us who got errors and ignored them, the patch did not install properly? Meaning we must reinstall?
-
I've got to say that despite it's size, Sharpur's a nice little map.
