  1. At times in OFP I'll get 300 FPS, and at other times it will go right down to 20 just by looking at a huge forest on Everon or something. It's still playable, of course, but you ain't gonna want to max out everything. ;) I do highly recommend DXDLL, but I'm sure you knew that already.
  2. In my opinion that's a good thing. The largest thread about the game on the internet is the one with the fans of the original OFP saying the game will be shit. Much better than having the largest be one praising this hunk o' junk. ;)

Company of Heroes Developer Killed in Car Accident.

I think you've all been taken for a ride on the ;)
  4. Probably with the likely-to-be upcoming DLCs for OA, both free and not. ;)

    Phishing attempt?

    Did you pre-order it? ;) They're epic maps. :D
  6. http://community.codemasters.com/forum/general-discussion-1335/422145-no-multiplayer-means-fail-low-game-sales-6.html#post6442126 From there onwards. Lol, just noticed Mr. Grumdor was banned. He seemed pretty adamant about the game, though...

ARMA 2: OA beta build 73116

Yes, bardosy's latest campaign was having similar issues. Can anyone from BIS confirm/explain?
  8. There's an idea floating around their forums stating that if the game sells well they can create a PvP multiplayer DLC and sell it. ... FPDR
  9. Meh, shows where Red River's interest levels are...

    New Zealand 7.1 Earth Quake

Yeesh... Stay safe, Defunkt. :butbut: My thoughts also go out to the people affected.
  11. Congrats guys! Oh, and Celery - you have, what, Arma 2, OA, and now the BAF DLC for free? Lucky bastard. :p
  12. Lol, "play properly". I too find it odd that despite the ability to switch optics in OA all the grenade sights are still folded down. Would be nice to get that changed or fixed. In the meantime, however, just play with crosshairs. ;)

Amnesia: The Dark Descent demo out

Why is it all these guys in horror games follow the woman obviously having issues? :p
  14. Cool! Could you upload it somewhere else, though? Like Filefront? Avast blocks that website due to it being a malicious URL for some reason.
  15. I'm certainly not old enough. My first gaming platform was the original PlayStation, the ugly beige plastic box. :p
  16. Since the new BAF stuff is encrypted I don't think you can with current depbo tools. Usually you'd have to depbo the official pbos and look for their mission folders, then load them for yourself in the editor. I'm not sure if BAF Lite is also encrypted as the cutscenes are there too...
  17. I'd rather buy beer than Red River! And I don't drink. ;)
  18. RR's getting off easy because of CM's "reputation", which I don't understand. Every game of theirs I've played has been, at best, mediocre. I guess it's the whole "last pure-British gaming company" appeal. Shame that they bring a terrible name to that title. It also gets off easy because it panders to the modern gamer, a 13-17 year old who only plays first person shooters on their Xbox 360. Fine, I'll give them credit for saying it. Doesn't mean I think any higher of them for removing it when they obviously have the tech and resources to do it, given the game RR's supposed to be a sequel to had most of the features. It's really quite laughable.
  19. I don't consider it an OFP game either, that's why I always refer to it just as Red River or RR, same with DR. Doesn't change the fact that CM are still trying to pass it off as OFP.
  20. Not to mention they're dumbing down Operation Flashpoint of all things... :(
  21. It needs to be -world=Shapur_BAF. ;)

Thank you bohemia for latest patch

Or better yet: eMpcRmelX74 Though some of the flaws mentioned are no longer issues in the game thanks to BIS, the song and video are still awesome. :D
  23. With that theory then, Ben, the dev team for RR chose not to include a mission editor, they chose not to have mod tools, and they chose to remove free roam. All of which staples of the OFP franchise, and they're supposed to be making an OFP game. Does that really sound like these guys should be given the freedom of choice when making these games? Hypothetically, who's to say that if the suits did step in, in your theory, the game might actually resemble OFP? Their choices, if your theory is correct, are what is ruining this game, yet you still have hope in them. I don't understand it, just like pufu here.
