Is it CO real CO or is it just A2+OA?
Zipper5 replied to wormeaten's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
This topic has been discussed to death in various other threads, which would be undoubtedly unearthed via a quick search, like this for example. Please search before posting next time. Thread locked. -
Rest in peace, Major. What you did for us will not be forgotten.

Zipper5 replied to Lorca's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
There is an existing thread for HiFi, which you can find here. Please search before posting next time. Thanks. :) -

Zipper5 replied to tmit666's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
What are your system specs, too? Surely you guys don't expect us to know exactly how to fix your problem without any information other than "it doesn't work", right? -
Pausing the game or loading the map causes freezing

Welcome to the forums. Please familiarize yourself with our forum rules, as this thread currently violates rule 22: Please don't make the same mistake again. And you're perfectly in your right to do so. ;)

It is a vote, and if you want to be voted for, you can campaign for it. Many people are doing it, some more seriously than others, and there's nothing in the voting rules that says you can't do it. Last year SARMAT managed to gather together lots of voters to push the vote in their favor for best mission or campaign. You might not have agreed with it back then, but it's a perfectly legitimate strategy for people to use. If someone else wants people to vote for their video then they too can "campaign" for it, just like Litos is doing, or hope that people vote for it anyways. There's no reason for them to prevent themselves from winning if that's what they truly want.
-
Hey, everyone campaigns for votes if they want it. Nothing in the rules state otherwise. ;)

This. There have been many great works of machinima here throughout 2010, but none have left me in awe the way Through Their Eyes did.

Guys, may I remind you that quoting embedded videos is not allowed as well, not just quoting images: This goes for everywhere on the forum. I've seen it happening elsewhere but I think this is the best place to post about it. I won't give an infraction to you this time, SpetS15, as you're not the only one who's been doing it recently, but I will start handing out infractions to offenders after this warning. Please be more careful. Thanks for the cooperation. ;)

As I said before, it's quite likely Cobalt will be updated once Blood On The Sand is released. I too have noticed the changes to Arma 2 since I made it have broken some parts, plus there are many new features OA and the subsequent DLC added that I can add to it (they're already in Blood On The Sand), as well as fixes to my own work and "optimizations" using my increased scripting knowledge. As for the scoped weapons, it's been made a part of the storyline for Novak to be the squad's marksman, and I found through my own play-testing that having a scope for most missions works a lot better than no sights, or crappy Kobra ones. Maybe I'll see if I can work in an optional non-scoped AK variant. Of course, the changes will make it require Combined Operations, but I imagine that most people have that anyways. So yes, I'd say it's a safe bet to expect an updated version of Operation Cobalt after Blood On The Sand. ;)

And guys, next time don't reply to it, just report it. It's just spam otherwise. Thread locked. -
Air your dirty laundry elsewhere. Not here. That goes for everyone, as this and other RPG game-mode threads seem to attract it. Infractions will be issued if it continues.

This thread has more than overstayed its welcome. Shame that these days even a discussion about some guy having his weapons seized will blow up into some irrelevant political debate. It reminds me of YouTube comments. Thread locked.

[shamelessPlug] The 2010 Community Awards are now live, along with a Best Mission / Campaign Of The Year category... ... ;) [/shamelessPlug] Thanks for an awesome 2010, guys! I've said it before, and I'll say it again - this campaign, nor Blood On The Sand, nor any of my other missions would have been possible without your support. :D
-
That was... Fast. Community Awards announcement and another beta patch, all in the same day. Suddenly going back to school after the Christmas holidays for the first time today doesn't seem so bad. :D

Spoke too soon, Animal. ;)

Expansion (New Forces-IDF) and Map.
Zipper5 replied to -1PARA-JaRHeaD=CO='s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I knew this thread would be trouble from the get-go, and I was right. There is no need for such discussions to continue. Take your political ideologies elsewhere, and not in a DLC suggestion thread. Thread locked. -
No thanks, I don't like Chernarus Life. I've played it with 30+ people and all it shows me is the engine is capable of massive lag. :p
