  1. Sorry, I just had to do it. :D
  2. That is 1,000 times more goofy than I expected it to be...
  3. A potential Red River customer. Oh snap.
  4. Just read the OXM review in its entirety, and it closed it with a very good statement that basically confirmed how I figured this trash would turn out in the end: So yeah, just like DR, probably worse, and unbelievably childish. Have fun, RR fans.

Why is this game not more popular?

I agree Resistance was their best, followed by Cold War Crisis of course. However, I have to admit - I really like Eagle Wing and Operation Crimson Lance, too. They're the best BIS campaigns since Resistance, in my eyes.
  6. Yes, he did say douchebags. You also heard that end dialogue correctly, in case you were wondering about that too. The AI looks worse than it performed in Dragon Rising.
  7. Uh... Re-read the original post, please...
  8. Why not just ask in an editing section how to do that, metalcraze? Heck, I can provide at least one solution right now: whichObj = random 100; if (whichObj < 25) then {<insert adding objective 1 code here>}; if (whichObj > 25 && whichObj < 50) then {<insert adding objective 2 code here>}; if (whichObj > 50 && whichObj < 75) then {<insert adding objective 3 code here>}; if (whichObj > 75 && whichObj < 100) then {<insert adding objective 4 code here>}; That in itself allows for the game to choose a random objective to add out of a possibility of 4. It's simple maths to figure out how to increase it. ;)
  9. Where did you buy your copy of the game from?
  10. Well, I've been trying to play this, and it's obvious my PC isn't capable of handling it. No matter what I do, for example, the intro is always incredibly slow and stuttery as the LODs fail to load quickly, and don't get me started about when the camera switches to a completely different location, lol. I tried skipping the intro and got to the main part of the mission, which took a while to catch up, but then ran at a constant 20 FPS, or it went lower. Good thing I'm looking at getting a new PC! I'll definitely use this as a performance increase check when I get it. :p Just in case it helps you, King Nothing, or anyone else, here are my current PC specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1GB 2GB DDR2 RAM @ 800MHz And my graphics settings:

Hence why it's posted in offtopic? ;)

Why is this game not more popular?

Sorry, if you're not a PC gamer, what are you doing on a forum for a game that is PC only? I'm pretty sure you're already very aware of your console alternative. ;) However, your overall point is right. PC gamers are indeed some of the hardest people to please, but that's generally because they're much more diverse in outlook than your typical console gamer. There's those who want games optimized for last-gen hardware, those for current-gen hardware, and those for next- or next-next-next-gen hardware.
  13. And then I see this: http://www.flashpointgame.com/2011/03/24/from-iraq-to-tajikistan-a-new-generation/ And, in particular, this shot: http://www.flashpointgame.com/files/IMG_4828.jpg There's not a facepalm in the whole internet that would be adequate for expressing how I feel about this. Oh well. FPDR
  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Wait, are they serious? :butbut: Note to Infinity Ward and, now, Codemasters: doing a half-assed copy of Generation Kill does not make you insta-great.
  15. For the same reasons people thought TV and rock music were works of the Devil. Most people are uneducated towards it, and certain media outlets love to sensationalize such things to gain viewer attention.
  16. I know it's a video game, and I know it isn't reality, unlike your typical soccer mom. I would have no trouble fighting forces conventionally considered to be "the good guys", so long as it's not depicted in some sort of propaganda way like certain terrorism-propaganda games/mods that have come out in recent times.
  17. There's been absolutely nothing mentioned nor shown relating to it, so I imagine that the only 4 people you get to play as in coop are the 4 members of the USMC fireteam.
  18. I've had the impression that the reason they're marketing the game with all this US bravado in it was because of how they slagged off Medal of Honor all that time ago, claiming it was insensitive to portray real scenarios because the war is still going on right now, etc. Very much a case of them trying to be the saviors of the credibility of the gaming industry in the eyes of those soccer moms that made those complaints about MOH. "We apologize for what that horrible Medal of Honor game did. Here, have our game. It has nothing but the greatness of the US of A slapped all over it, and the stupidity and inevitable destruction of anyone who dares stand against us!"
  19. The impression those notes give me is they think the game is very average and nothing special. In other words, not too different from DR, and will probably have the same size fanbase (or smaller) this long after release.
  20. First review's out for it, apparently:

    Committing Suicide

If you get yourself a sound file of a pistol shot, this will work even better: <insert unit name> addWeapon "<insert pistol classname>"; <insert unit name> switchMove "ActsPercMstpSnonWpstDnon_suicide2B"; sleep 5.5; playSound "<insert sound name>"; <insert unit name> setDamage 1; Obviously, insert the information where it's indicated. This will make him pull out whatever pistol you get it, put it to his head, and then shoot himself.
  22. In which case, I've never had any success coaxing friends into playing Arma 2 based on raw gameplay alone. COD generation.
