  1. A perfect example of the questions that are not part of this Q&A, as they are not pertaining to the ARG. :) ARG-related questions only, please.
  2. Hi guys, First, thanks to Damu for giving me this opportunity. :) There's only one thing I'd like to add to this: it seems best to limit the number of questions that can be submitted per person to 1. That way we don't get thousands upon thousands of questions to vote for in the end. So be sure to make your question the one you want answered the most. So, to summarize: 1 question per person. Have at it! Edit: Damn, you were too fast for me, MadDogX.
  3. Reports indicate that RR sold little more than 100,000 copies worldwide across both the PS3 and Xbox 360. No figures for PC sales yet. Of course, the US release is sometime in June, but I hardly think that after the bad press the game's received everywhere else, US sales will recuperate the costs. One hopes that this is the end of Codemasters' Operation Flashpoint franchise.

    Bohemia's realism.

    I agree 100%.

    Battleye Does not work.

It's, not its. ;) That picture is 4 times the 100kb limit. In regards to your problem, play on well-administrated servers with signature checks & BattlEye enabled, and they shouldn't bother your game.

    ArmA 3 on Steamworks?

Can you easily refund a game on Steam after it's been released? No, you can't. Not without lots persuasion, at least, and even then they'll only usually refund you if the game in question is known to have serious issues & if they're feeling "generous". It's something you agree to when you buy the game there, or if you buy a retail Steamworks-based hardcopy. It is completely understandable for that to be the main reason people don't want Steam integration. I know it pisses me off to no end that I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops for $60, which is still non-functioning this far on since its release, and I can't refund it because I bought it on Steam. Steamworks doesn't bring enough to the table in many peoples' eyes to accept such a practice. Don't take this as if I dislike Steam, however. I buy mostly every game I want these days off of it, apart from BIS'. For them, I go to Sprocket.

Steamworks, add it in or not?

I wouldn't want Steamworks integration, personally. The fact that even retail DVD versions require the game to be installed via, and activated in, Steam is ridiculous, and I learned my lesson after I bought my hard copy of FEAR 2.

    Arma 3 content

Am I wrong in believing that the AI do not recognize roads on CAA1 islands, and their view is not obstructed by CAA1 vegetation? I also seem to recall that no, or very few, ladders are working on CAA1 buildings, as well as some being sunk part way into the ground. Or have all of those been fixed since I last tried it?

    Thx for Summer chernaurus !

Too large and ridiculously old, as well as still unconfirmed.
  10. Moving to the Arma 3 section. And to throw in my opinion: just like Arma 2 and ArmA before it, people will be freaking out over the next few weeks about what they absolutely hate about Arma 3 and how it will kill the community. Then it will calm down for a long time. Then new and cool information will be released as to what Arma 3 will feature, and the mood will pick up. Finally, Arma 3 will be released, people will buy it, play it, and then complain for a few weeks about how things aren't what they were expecting, or how porting stuff is too difficult. People will get all worked up and leave, and then once more, things will settle down. And frankly, those remaining will be enjoying what sounds to be a great game. tl;dr - no different to the announcement of any other game with a strong community.

    ArmA 2 site hacked

D.Ginzbourg, the "hacking" was fake. It was an alternate reality game by BIS to unveil Arma 3. If you're getting spam, it means you're getting it from/through someone/something else.

    Arma 3 content

People here complain about the $10 they spent on BAF and PMC. Imagine if they figured they had to spend $60 for ported content from ArmA and Arma 2? Now, I would buy it as I always want to support BIS, but I have to say, I think I would be one of very few in such a scenario.
  13. The confirmed features so far: Huge landmass, DirectX 10 support, nVIDIA PhysX support, Many brand new units, vehicles & weapons, New, and what sounds to be more story-driven, campaign. And when more information starts to flow in, there will be even more cool features that make Arma 3 the superior product.

    Why are people so conservative?

Definitely not, looking at your post. Or even the bolded part. All these people registering and proclaiming their ideas and opinions as if they know the game... Ah well, guess it's the same with every game announcement.

What would be the point of selling ArmA and Arma 2 if this occurred?
  16. Where has that been confirmed? Speculation can really be a terrible thing.
  17. Ah yes, because the units and vehicles of OFP looked very similar to their real life counter-parts, and there weren't any weapons being used in the game that weren't even in use at the time.

    Arma 3 Officially Announced!

It's no different to when ArmA and/or Arma 2 were first announced/released. Give it a little while and people will either settle down or get bored. ;)

It's not. Simply the fabrications of a miserable, angry & controlling old man.

    LA Noire

^ This x1,000. Oh, and don't forget SecuROM and Games for Windows Live and Rockstar Social Club (and Steam DRM if you have it on Steam). Frankly, with crap like that, I'm happy Rockstar aren't putting games on the PC. I'd rather not have the option than deal with that stuff.
  22. What... I seriously hope you over-simplified that. Otherwise, congratulations - you can now consider yourself part of the COD crowd. ;)
  23. To quote what I said before: instead of? No. In addition to? Sure, it wouldn't hurt.
