I was a lot more interested in it than most of the other things shown at E3 so far. ;)

Suddenly, the start of the trailer has relevance. I would like to ask why developers throw so many resources at a project designed to do what Call of Duty does, but do it better. Why not instead try to take gaming in a different direction? If the success of such an endeavor were to be as great as Call of Duty 4 was, the mark they would make on the history of the gaming industry would be a hell of a lot bigger than what Battlefield 3 is going to leave. Instead, we just continue seeing the same modern browny first person online competitive shooters, now with tanks, aircraft & destruction physics. For the record, yes, I am of the opinion that the "modern FPS" phase that was born out of Call of Duty 4 has run its course and then some. It's the new World War 2 FPS for me.

I was honestly hoping that's what it was. I would have been excited for it if that were true. :(

So far there are only a few games I am excited for: - Batman: Arkham City - Mass Effect 3 - Tomb Raider - Far Cry 3 - Rayman (nostalgia factor) Everything else has been ridiculously underwhelming for me, including Battlefield 3 and, especially, Modern Warfare 3. It should be called Modern Warfare 2: New York. :rolleyes:

Battlefield and BIS' games have never been in competition, and I see nothing about Battlefield 3 that would change that. What is with the massive hard-on people have for Frostbite 2?

Arma 3's trying to compete with Battlefield 3? News to me. :confused:

Did you try searching just "clippi" and displaying the results as posts? Because there is lots of information there, including the answers to your questions. However, I may as well answer your question. Clippi allows you to edit your user config file in a more visual/easier-to-understand way. If you run Clippi in the background as you run ACE, when you change ACE settings ingame they will automatically be saved instead of you having to paste them into your settings file.

The OP was a troll who created duplicate accounts to have conversations with himself.

Everything can be avoided by searching. 1) You would have learned ACE-related questions are to be posted in this thread. 2) You would have easily found out what Clippi does. Posting without searching first usually garners an infraction, but I felt like going easy on you. Obviously I shouldn't have. Keep up the insults and you'll get one anyways. ;)

You may wish to check this and locate the very last entry about AToC. You can see to the right of it an explanation as to what each setting does. It may help with performance if you wish to keep AA enabled.

Provided it was not a modified version of Domination, the person you should be trying to contact is Xeno. However, he has stated that he is no longer working on said mission. Did the game actually crash to your desktop?

Unless they've significantly improved it from a month ago when I stopped playing, Arma 2's UI is 1000x better than it. ;)

I'm a PvP player, and I dislike Battlefield Play4Free a lot, especially its UI. It is completely useless, and I would rather play Battlefield 2. It's hard to rip on a free game, but being free doesn't stop it from sucking. In my opinion, BFP4F definitely sucks, and I would like to keep it as far away from Arma 3 as possible. :)

Sector Control, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, etc. Or even Celery's gametypes like Road Rage, Camel Rage, etc. inb4 typical comments of "Go play COD", "Can't be bothered with the n00bs who play those types", "Have fun with the hax". :rolleyes: I've seen fewer cheaters in those gametypes for Arma 2 than I have in every other gametype for Arma 2 being played right now.

Real fans will soon have 16, then. :p

There are hundreds of those realistic missions you want, LJF. For example, a large portion of LDD Kyllikki's are. Didn't SimHQ also make a couple? If you want them to be played, you're going to have to convince a server admin to host them. ;)

What Arma 2 and the rest of BIS' games have done is made me discriminate all other games depending on how their developers support them. I will no longer buy games from developers who don't care at all about the people who buy them. Other than that, no.

The problem with that is PR's type of PvP isn't the type of PvP a few people here, including myself, want to be played more often.
