So i've got a new pic, not much but i've had add a base texture mask, plus i've made some extra detail, and a partial sharp edge in the main vehicle. Unfortunately most of the team members are now very busy with real life stuff (time for studying! But more to come as soon as possible, and on our site Hellenic Warfare Mod site, (i know it needs a good update).

thanks a lot Getis, to all the searches i made in internet i manage to find only these "Squadron Signal pub - Armor 017 - M113 in Action" (which already has Arnie from team yanke send me) and "Verlinden Warmachines 002 - m113" the second help a lot with the engine since it has very detailed informations. But i would iapriciate a lot if you could send me some more. PS. i'll glad accept pdfs or images and for the Leopard's engine and m60. Thanks

since it's intenting to be for the Hellenic army the colours will be NATOs like the M60 and the leopard i have made. But i'll give permission when we finnished the 1st phase of our mod. for everyone wishes to retexture it in any camo he wills. As for the gun i haven't still begin it and for the interiors of the crew or the driver. i hope i'll have them ready by this friday, since i have a lot of things to do in real life. PS. thanks alot for your comments, and add more if you wish i want to make it perfect this M113

so, here is some pics with the engine interiors. till now the animation with the covers is static but i hope that i can really animate the engine covers to open when the m113 is ready. PS. imagine a script that can make random malufactions to the engine and make it need repairs or replacements. that's that i want to do, and i hope that i can at least if not to the first version of the m113 maybe to the next.

yes, the interior will be made, but i'm not sure if it's proper to make and the engine in front (i'm considering that cause of the high poly issue).

yes, you are right about the sharp edges, this model has no sharp edges at all. I'm planning to make the sharp edges as final step. and thanks a lot of your replys.

My, friend check the name of the forum, "MAP EDITING (VISITOR)", visitor is the name of BIS which they make the OFP islands. Visitor can import ASE files, (to tell you the truth i don't know what ase is), so i never try it.

It's quite simple, and as i can hear, there are a lot of different methods. The method i use requires three steps and it's very easy to use but as far it has the limitation that you can create only 256X256 dimension islands, i haven't figured out how i could create bigger islands since i don't have much free time. anyway here is a sumary of the steps. 1st) you need microdem, this a free program you can downoloaded from Geocomm you can also find there and a ton of dem files. 2nd) you need the dem files of the area you want to create into an island use the above link for that to. 3rd) you need to convert your dem file to a xyz file (you can also merge/resample etc) your dem to take better resolts. don't worry a bout that i'll send you a tutorial of how you could do that made by me. 4th) this is a bit critical step you have to put your xyz file into the height converter (made by snypir) to make the xyz file into txt file. (you need to do there a lot of tests to find out which one is the best you want). (now i'm trying to make a converter for 512X512 islands but since wrpedit can import only 256X256 islands my effort is wasted until i figured out an othe way.) 5th) now you can import the txt file into wrpedit and make the proper adjustments. then save it in wrp format and you can use it with wrptool too. (for visitor is an other story but i can tell you how you can do that if you like. ) that's all, if you want more specific help in any step please email me and i'm glad to help you. PS. check also the OFPEC you can find there a lot of interesting tutorials to help you. i suggest readi ( A soldier's 5 on wrpedit) it's really helpfull tutorial and can make you understand a lot about the wrp file format. Hello. I'm Sparky. I'm the project Leader Of Hellenc Warfare Mod (HWM). This mod is about the Hellenic Army Forces and it's planned to be a total Convertion Mod. Till now we are a team of 3 Members. Me (Sparky - Modeller-Island Creator-Project Leader) FNL (Modeller) IzE(Island Creator) We have a map of real Greek island,an M60A3 beta demo version,a voice pbo with one voice greek language,and Greek infantry Alpha state. thanks espectro. The first island has real roadway as it\s in the map, and even the town places are accurate. and for the m60 i have the sounds for the .50cal justin the addons & mod complete section of bis forum, you can take a little taste there if you like. till now this is the prototype of 23000 faces buut it will be degresed to the sufficient amount of polys to fit in ofp and of course Armed assault specifications.

256X256 is a height converter limitation. Though you have consider the annoying bug of earth trembling, map bigger than 256X256 should have a big trembling in the game. (you can read about that in wrptool manual). of course you have consider the memory that your map will use if it's bigger than standard. My opinio is to try fit your map in 256X256, you can do that, but you will hsave less detailed map.

you can't put a DEM into wrptool directly. you need some steps before that. 1)microdem convert your dem to XYZ triples (Lat/Long) 2)heigh converter (converts your XYZ file to TXT format. 3)import your txt file into wrpedit, and save it in wrp format 4)open this wrp file with wrptool. that's all. it's sounds easy, but the first steps are little tricky though. I have a tutorial for how you can convert a dem to XYZ triples, merg dems and resample them. If you want it just email me.

this think went to far. I have to say a big apologize to maximg and his team for destroying his premier with the mod, I'll download the mod and try it. We just want to say that this story with the name hurt all greek people very much. Sorry guys for making this thread political. Nice work maximg i saw the screenshots and i'll download your mod. And for the greek ofp funs it's time to cease fire and put our weapons down (i know that i begun this). Just for MAXIMG and his team and for the respect i have for every modmaker and off course BIS. I recommend to everyone to honour this team and download this mod.

Actually you can do a similar stuf with VBS (you can be in a vehicle and shoot from it, with your weapon in hand). You can do almost everything with OFP, and i mean everything. An engine without limits that's why i love Flashpoint. And personally i'll never play a game that is made by EA, cause they are producing commercial titles without anything deep. Titles that are made in very little short time and brings all the time expansions just to get my hard earned money i just ignore them.

In matters of insulting mine integrity of my country, i can't chillout!!, i'm furius, and as for that grrece is a part of the ottman empire you can't claim that??? we are one of the most ancient nations in History, But in respect of OFP furoms i stop this convertation, but any one who knows history can understand that the name MACEDONIA for the FYROM or SKOPIA is abig Bull...t. And i have to say one more thing Those want to pass the idea of the Big albania and other politicis who want to unstabilize balkanians have to know that this is not going to pass. That's all I respect every nation, i demand from every nation to respect mine too. I will not continue to post in thi sthread just to avoid more...........

Remove immidiately the name MACEDONIA from the map, macedonia is a region of Grrece this is FYROM replace immidiately!!! I will not accept nobody to take our greek history and claims that he/she are macedonians. MACEDONIA is GREEK

First of all even if OFP supports a large number of unites you will be killed in a sec, even now in a battlefield with ten - twenty soldiers it's very easy to die, health packs and all this crap are not in ofp, and that's makes it realistic, if you want to fight you can't just run to the opponent and shooting cause you probably die! so this game is more tactical operation, although you can have and a large scale battle, (like SP missions Battlefield) but you probably can't enjoy it cause you are all the time be afraid of a bullet that "can pass through your head", that's why i like to play OFP ONLY... (I love my herat pumpin of the fear that i may die in action, that's an excitment that no other game can offer) If i want to play an intensive game i'll play HALO on my XBOX

height converter is a little program (made by snypir) it simply convert your XYZ triples file to TXT file so it can be imported to WRP edit. it's easy to use the only thing to do is play with the tc.ini file that comes with it and make the apropriate adjuastments. in a way you can downsample your file if it's big, and not fit on wrpedit. so i recommend you to make a downsample between 2-5 with microdem and then do the changes with height converter. ty to do some combinations to see what is the best.

you don't need to do this whole process, you simple need microdem, and height converter and off course the dem file, you can convert the dem with the In/Out button on microdem to XYZ triples Lat\Long, then take this file and use height converter to create the txt file, this file can input directed to wrpedit. for more info if you like contact me. and i can send you a tutorial of mine to see how you can resample dems, merging dems and exporting dems to xyz with microdem. i find willbur unecessary step in the proccess that can only confuse you and not help you.
