This "discussion" is hilarious! ...are you aware that TPV is a "choice" that can be turned off on PvP or any other servers!? TPV has been in Bohemia games since OPF and it´s never been a problem in PvP because "serious" servers have turned it off! So leave it be as it is and let ppl play the way they like to play!

WTF are you talking about! There is MP and there is mod capability, so i guess you didn´t really read the alpha announcement!

Sorry to hear but on my rig OA runs way smoother than ArmA2 guess there are some hardware issues with OA and your PC. Get 42 FPS in the OA benchmark with everything on VH and my system is bad maintained! No stuttering, almost no popping textures (some few and only when the games runs for the first time).

Bought it this noon just got home from work, installed it and played one single mission (Lasershow). OA runs on my machine (quad4; 8GB ram; GTX285; Windows 7 64 bit)way smoother than ARMA2. The reloading textures i get in ArmA 2 are almost gone! Of course there is THE BI WEAKNESS even the biggest hater has to admit that "the other game" did one thing right and that where the sounds!

Cheers, exactly my kind of gameplay! In a PR match i stayed for over 20 minutes with my squad in a capping zone without engaging a single enemy because that where the orders of the commander. Sound boring but it wasn´t since we got 5 minutes of an extensive firefight with a OPFOR squad trying to cap the zone! Imho NO other game, commercial or mod, has better teamplay on public servers than PR because the game design is enforcing this and i hope the same strong restrictions will apply for PR/ArmA2 too!

Go figure! Thought it fited the crowd! You guys are so eager looking for a failure of the Codemasters game it´s almost pathetic. Always thought the ArmA community is mature but its like Junior High here. I love ArmA2 just played one of the randomly generated Spec Ops missions, but i´m also looking forward for DR since there are not so much tactical realism oriented FPS games out there (Sky Gods and Ground Breach just got canned) so i can play both of them. Will DR have it´s flaws, you batcha but right now the so called and self appointed "true OPF-fans" are producing as much hot air as the Codies marketing department since the game isn´t released yet, even worse especially this forum reminds me of the Spanish inquisition. Time will tell if DR is poop or a fun game! I give Codemasters the benifit of the doubt since guys like Magnum from Simhq.com actually played the promo build and liked it. See you on the ArmA BF then!
