You could always have a look at the 8800GTS 320MB card. That's a midrange card. Don't know how much it costs where you're from, but here in Norway you can get one for something like 270 euro. If that's too much, the 8600GTS with 256 or 512MB is an alternative. Prices are from 150-60 euro and upwards (in Norway). Don't know about ATI cards.

Where to begin... hmmm... I've been gone from the BI community for a couple of years now (due to real life issues). I have not bought ArmA yet (that's because I don't have the computer to run it). I have not been following the gaming scene much for the last two years, but I'm getting into it again Even after having read through this entire thread and the negative thread about ArmA, I still have no doubts about purchasing ArmA and the upcoming Queen's Gambit. OFP changed my life (within the context of gaming), and as soon as I get my new computer, ArmA is at the top of the list! Anyway, I'm thrilled about finally hearing something about Game 2. So it's gonna be ArmA 2, so what? What bothers me, is the community here.. what has happened since I were a regular on this forum? In this thread, there's so much hostility against BIS and ArmA. I mean, come on! The game has just been announced, all screenshots are most likely WIP, and we have no official feature list yet. As I understand, BIS just released the tools for ArmA, and I seriously doubt they'll abandon ArmA completly just yet. I get that some modmakers are concerned about wether to stick with ArmA or move on to ArmA2. I say, let's give this a little time. Let's wait for more official word from BIS before wanting to drop a nuke on their offices. Since I've been away from the whole BIS/OFP/ArmA community for so long, I don't know the full story yet, but things can't be so bad as some people are portraying it here? Oh well, enough of my rantings... probably don't make much sense after all Speaking for myself, I can't wait to get my hands on both ArmA and eventually ArmA 2 I'm gonna go back to reading threads now... I have a lot of catching-up to do, this was just my two cents for now.

We were 19 bikes that drove there and back from where I live. Our bikes - mine is the green one in front Yes... it IS a motorcycle There is a lot more pictures from the bikerun in my gallery!

@ shinRaiden; Another camera worth looking at, is the Kodak EasyShare Z740. 5 megapixels and 10x zoom (optical) - still small and easy to use. Most tests I've read about it is positive. I'm actually going to buy this camera myself now, as a second camera - mostly because of the zoom. I tried to take pictures of a moose the other day, and 3x zoom didn't cut it  5MP is also ok. It's cheap here in norway (3000 norwegian kroner = roughly $468), uses SD cards and can use rechargable AA batteries. Just another tip for a SD camera Â

I can recommend my camera - Canon Ixus 30. 3.2MP, uses SD cards. Fast, easy and compact. If you can still find it, it is pretty cheap (at least here in Norway... It is called Powershot SD200 Digital Elph in US and some other places).

More pics Just some flowers in our garden A waterfall not far from where I live A rainbow shot from our house, it was about a week ago and it was really intense for a while A lake (Nćra) where I fish all summer, this picture were taken during the first fishingtrip this year *EDIT* I should also mention that none of my pictures are edited in any way - just resized.
-
It did cost me something like 2600 or 2700 norske kroner for it in november last year. I've seen it go for around 1900 now. (There is 2 newer Ixus models since I bought it, Ixus 50 and Ixus 700... so you can get the Ixus 30 and 40 pretty cheap nowadays!)

Here's a few more; For those interested, I have a online gallery here; http://photos.wargamingnetwork.com All pictures shown here can be found in higher resolutions there... in addition to a lot more pictures!

Hmm... I realized I have never posted here before... Â Well, here's a few pictures I've taken with my Canon Ixus 30; This picture is of a WWII memorial where I come from. For those of you that knows norwegian WWII history, this is the memorial for those who fell at Midtskogen on april 9th 1940. They stopped the germans that were on the way to Elverum to capture the norwegian King. This resulted in the total destruction of Elverum city, when the germans bombed it instead, trying to kill off the King. And this is of the memorial in Elverum, where the King gave his famous "no" the german request for surrender.

Have any of you been following this thread over at the CM forums? Zzzz posted this earlier today; I'm really not sure what to make of anything at the moment... I'm basically just waiting for CM or BIS to give us the story straight - should be interesting if we get the whole truth.

BIS broken with CODEMASTERS?
WargamingNor replied to DFP-Tim's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - GENERAL
I think we all should restrain our comments and calm down a bit, at least until we have an official statement about CM and BIS. We do not have enough information about what's going on yet. Thus, no point in getting worked up over specualtions and rumours is there? I'm just hoping some kind of official statement is released from either CM or BIS in the near future... before things gets way out of hand. Threads and posts being made both on this forum and the OFP2 part at the CM forums is heating things up, and could potentially be very ugly if this draws out too long. But now I've been the voice of reason long enough in this thread - you don't have to agree with me, just calm down a bit folks! -
You mean my addons folder? You bet it works! Seeing is believing

If you try my links, it works. BTW, you didn't by any chance take a picture of Placebo? He can't hide forever (refering to the fact that he hasn't got a picture on the "people" at the BIS site). Give us a picture of Placebo... or at least describe to us what he looks like
