ok its all about getting the troops to the fight...It doesnt matter how it moves or who makes it. I've been transported in both m113 and lav-III's I like the lav-III better but thats just me. it doesnt matter who makes the damn thing if the driver is crosseyed and retarded

HELL YA....its about time someone said it!!! a few more points 1. I hear a large number of yanks saying it (lav-III) doesnt have the armour of other apc's...no & yes...less armour more chances to upgrade...it has a cevlar lined iner hull to help stop metal fragments from killing the occupents. and if you just have I large armour plate with a crap load of dings init chances are the apc will be scrapped. 2.their woried about having to change a flat tire that has been blown out in combat while the bullets are still flying. IT HAS 8 BLOODY WHEELS. if one goes in combat you still have 7 on the road...hell you can loose 3 and the damn thing will still move...there also run flat tires! 3. the stryker is designed as a mobile fire support system...its like having a 105mm howitzer right behind you supporting the advance...IT IS NOT A REPLACMENT FOR MAIN BATTLE TANKS if your country thinks it is, then you better vote for a new prez...hell that would make me happy. 4. ever notice how lots of apc's and afv's have angled armour such as the bmp's, btr's, marder, scimitars'n'such reason being so that the rounds are deflected away...the m113's and bradley and warrior for that matter are big ass boxes not to say big ass targets thats why they need more armour. now dont get all pissy about what us canadians say, we be abit smarter than most.

thank's hellfish yes canada does have LAV III's, our regular force battalions recieved them last year some time, all the older bison, couger, and AVGP's are comming down to the reserves since ours are all banged up'n'broke. just to set it strait one last time though the bison is not a turret less lav 25...the bison has a fatter boxier ass end. I'm looking at my afv/ac recognition package right now and it is a little confusing but you guys will just have to believe me

just to let you guys know. the "carl G" as we call it here is not a guided weapon nor is it a rocket launcher(except for improved munitions wich are unreliable at best), the carl gustav is an 84mm recoiless weapon which uses a cassed projectil that has no bottom the primer is on the side of the casing near the rear...IT IS REALLY REALLY LOUD. I have fired them two times once with T.P.T.T or target practice trainer tracer,and the other time with a standard HEAT.T or high explosive anti tank tracer...BOOM that old tank hull must have jumped 20 feet in the air couz I know I did

as with the states, here in canada it is LEGAL to own a collecters licence...but you have to have a reason to get one i.e. reinacting n'such... but for those of us who dont do that sort of thing there are not so automatic weapons like MG-42's browning m-2 .50's, and the great FN MAG-58's with specially modified bolts and trigger assembly so they can only fire 1 shot at a time. but why the hell do I need crap like that with my job I blow stuff up with the BIG guns

last night I was watching the the news and there was a report on past and preasent conflicts, in wich its main thesis was how the modern day U.S. resembles nazi germany in the 30's/40's it even went as far as as showing two pictures, one a us army officer in his dress uniform. 2 a German officer in his dress uniform. and man was that interesting...hitler didnt die he became the fashion consultant to the U.S. army. I take it you guys have never heard a real howitzer/tank gun being fired...if its to quiet pump up the volume...if you think its high pitched well older guns like the 88 dont have that high pitch noise becouse it isnt as powerfull as a modernday 105/120mm tank gun...I think the sounds of the M1 are off but hey thats just me

F.Y.I. you yanks are going to love this...the u.s. army seing the effectiveness of the canadian coyote recce vehicle which is a Lav type vehicle...have opted to contrract G.M. of canada (the makers of all Lav's) to build there own version. armed with a 105 main gun instead of the coyotes 25mm chaingun...the point is, for all you yanks who are into "real" war games this addon looks damn close to the real thing... and for all you bitchy people ITS BETA.

I only find the c-9 usefull for cutting fig-11's in half at close range but alass, Artillery does'nt get to fire that stuff unless were doing a battery defence-ex...but I allmost always carry the C-6 on ex when I'm not foo sigging at least. but after this summer no more fun for me...JLC or whatever the hell there calling it these days is going to ruin my fun forever BUT THERE'S ALLWAYS THE 105 TO KEEP ME WARM AT NIGHT!

in the canadian army we have the c-7 wich is allmost the same as the m-16a2...ours is in auto wich in live fire section attacks is only used when clearing a trench...firing the thing on auto all the time leads to barrel wear and at one point or another parts of the foregrip will melt got in trouble for that one...when we were trained to go auto we were told to aim at the targets left pant pocket and fire "controlled" bursts the idea is you'd getem in the hip probably the chest and miss his ear...this was done at 50m standing...one of the guys went down because he wasnt in the right stands in our army we only carry 5 mags...thats only 150rnds not much to play with thats why rep is good. ok since it seams you guys are in this pritty heavy right now I would like to add a bit of info for you guys. traj is nothing to worry about since 105 and 155 nato standard can change propellant, in the 105mm there are 7 charge bags and the 155mm has different types of charge bags, red, green, and white. what this means is if your only firing 3k away the barrel dont need to be level, drop the charge in 105 to a charge 2 elevation between 450 600 mils and you drop the sucker in and another thing charge 7 in 105 depending on barrel length is usually around 9-13k at optumum traj but chances are after looking at the junk you guys have come up with you allready know [on the battlefield there are two types of people, targets and other gunners]
